Foreword
Hello, relatives, and welcome to the video lectures on Character & Conduct from the Higher-Dimensional Wisdom series. I am DF. I will now explain Character & Conduct to you, our relatives.
The author of Character & Conduct is one of the most influential senior administrators of our Small Cosmos Family and also our family’s spokesperson. Character & Conduct is the best and most foundational teaching material for guiding family members to raise their quality, caliber, and level of life, to attend to outward expression, and to correct unhelpful conduct. From every angle, this material teaches family relatives how to adjust words and deeds, elevate quality and caliber, live in harmony with the Way according to the program the Creator set for us, become qualified higher-intelligence lives in the universe, and play a positive role in the cosmos.
We may treat Character & Conduct as our handbook for being human: if we simply follow its guidance, we can become people of wholehearted positive energy and meet the Creator’s intended design. The fact that this material could be conveyed from the universe’s relevant administrative departments in higher-dimensional space to Earth is profoundly significant. The entire Higher-Dimensional Wisdom series reached Earth during the universe’s great rectification, as part of our Small Cosmos Family’s rescue effort for Earth, with help from senior administrative departments in the cosmos.
The universe’s relevant administrative departments have two major goals in rescuing Earth:
One goal is to save Earth—that is, to turn Earth from a negative-energy field into a positive-energy field and help Earth play a positive role in the universe.
The other goal is to lead more talented people back to higher-dimensional worlds to serve a greater role and embody greater value.
For anyone who wishes to return from Earth’s positive (yang) world to the higher-dimensional negative (yin) world, three conditions are required:
The first is a sufficiently high energy frequency. This is the foremost condition; without it, ascending to survive in higher-dimensional worlds is impossible.
The second is a very high level of quality and caliber. Without that, one does not meet the conditions for living in higher-dimensional worlds.
The third is a certain degree of work capacity. Without it, one cannot function in higher-dimensional worlds; even if one could survive there, one would not embody much value. Earth has no shortage of capable relatives, but very few possess both sufficiently high-frequency energy and very high quality and caliber. Without the guidance of the Higher-Dimensional Wisdom series, few would meet the conditions for ascending to relatively high-dimensional worlds.
Character & Conduct is material devoted to helping relatives raise quality and caliber. Living according to its teaching raises one’s energy frequency and level of life. I hope relatives understand why the universe’s relevant administrative departments in higher-dimensional space conveyed this body of knowledge to Earth in the first place: it is precious knowledge for helping each of us on Earth return.
Relatives who have studied The Human Way already know that humanity’s true home is the negative (yin) world; the positive (yang) world is only a base for multiplying lives and training foundational abilities. Relatives who lack the ability to ascend from Earth to higher-dimensional negative worlds will either keep reincarnating on Earth to train and rise further, or sooner or later be sifted out by the greater universe.
Before I explain Character & Conduct, I share this truth with relatives in the hope that you will take this material and the whole Higher-Dimensional Wisdom series seriously, use these teachings to break through conventional views and habitual thinking on Earth, build a sound outlook on life, values, and the cosmos, form a correct mindset, and set your life on the right track—living in harmony with the Way.
Character & Conduct looks plain and easy to read, yet it carries very deep principles and reveals many cosmic and life truths unknown to us on Earth. To prepare these lectures, I repeatedly asked our mentor to consult the author. My purpose in teaching Character & Conduct is to help relatives grasp each article’s meaning and elevation correctly and not go astray. If I can help relatives, I am deeply glad.
This lecture series follows the version published October 6, 2018 on the Higher-Dimensional Wisdom public-benefit website; I hope relatives will download that edition to study alongside these talks. Given the limits of my level of life and ability, my grasp of such elevated knowledge will surely fall short in places, and omissions are inevitable; I ask relatives’ understanding. Now let us study Character & Conduct together.
This lecture series has five parts; we now begin Part One. Part One covers:
Article 1 — Morality
Article 2 — Our Spirit
Article 3 — Conduct
Article 4 — Bearing and Demeanor
First, relatives, an overview of the book’s theme. Character & Conduct consists of a foreword and twenty-one short pieces. The twenty-one themes are as follows:

Article 15 — Beautiful Wishes Article 16 — The Walk of Love
Article 17 — The Banner Article 18 — Image
Article 19 — Rhythm Article 20 — The Light of Life
Article 21 — Character (品)
Because I already covered the foreword to Character & Conduct in this lecture’s opening section, we begin with Article 1.
Character & Conduct, Article 1 — Morality
Please look at the diagram on the screen; I will explain this article in six parts.
I. The article’s content
The piece “Morality” is a little over nine hundred characters in six paragraphs. In brief, its core is: follow the Way and establish virtue.
The first paragraph clarifies morality—helping readers see what morality is: what “Way” means, what “virtue” means, and what they mean together—thus illuminating morality. The author teaches how important it is to regulate our conduct with morality.
The second paragraph is on the importance of establishing virtue.
The third paragraph has two layers:
First, the importance of sound moral conduct;
Second, we are taught to use morality to regulate our conduct in everything we do and not become negative-energy people.
The fourth paragraph teaches that we must attend to the details of establishing virtue.
The fifth and sixth paragraphs teach how to become benchmarks and models.
II. Main points of the article
There are five main points, as shown on the screen; relatives, please take them to heart:
- Explaining morality
Morality is our standard for being human and our code of conduct. “Way” is the law of the universe; “virtue” is human moral character. Together they form our standard and norm. The opening two sentences of the article define what morality means.
- The importance of regulating conduct with morality
The first paragraph explains the importance of regulating conduct with morality in two respects:
First, if a person’s conduct is not regulated by morality, there is no standard for conduct; a person without morality does not deserve the name “human.”
Second, as the higher-intelligence species called human beings, only by regulating ourselves with morality can we walk the right path of life and become lives of value.
- The importance of establishing virtue
Establishing virtue is the foundation and root of being human. A person without virtue is a negative-energy life; the more virtue one loses, the more one sinks, even toward evil. The second paragraph clarifies the importance of “establishing virtue.”
- The details of establishing virtue
From the most basic virtues upward, in everything we do we use morality to regulate ourselves and do not emit negative information or become negative-energy people. To become a person of noble character, we must restrain unhelpful conduct, neither indulging nor slacking, and face and overcome the many difficulties that appear in life with firm will. Two sentences in the second and fifth paragraphs describe the details of establishing virtue.
- How to become benchmarks and models
To become a benchmark for the world and a moral model, we must regulate all our conduct with morality. That takes much effort and sacrifice. Though not easy, with firm will we can have perseverance and patience to overcome difficulties and become leaders for the world and iconic presences in the universe. The fifth and sixth paragraphs describe how to become benchmarks and models.
III. Terminology
Having summarized the article, I will explain three important terms for relatives, beginning with moral conduct.
- Moral conduct (德行)
Moral conduct refers to the quality of a person’s moral character.
- Level of life
Level of life describes the tier at which a life exists in the universe. It is a composite measure of a life’s scope, height, wisdom, ability, quality, and caliber. Low-level lives fit only lower-dimensional worlds; the higher the level, the better the fit for corresponding higher-dimensional worlds.
- Establishing virtue (立德)
Establishing virtue means a person builds sound moral conduct. High-standard establishing virtue means making every thought and act positive—that is, every thought and act accords with universal law.
IV. Difficult sentence
Next, one difficult sentence for relatives: a reader-relative asked how to understand “When Way and virtue combine, they become our standard and norm for being human.”
This is a sentence from the first paragraph. The original reads: “Way” is the law of the universe; “virtue” is human moral character; together they become our standard and norm for being human.
We can simply read morality as “conduct that fits universal law” or “conduct that follows universal law,” which makes it easier. “Way” is the law that arises naturally in the cosmos; all existence must obey it. We can call principles formed by or aligned with universal law “standards”; we can call regulations or norms formed at a given level “norms.” In the universe, human conduct must both accord with universal law and with the standards and norms formed in each world. That is how we understand morality as our standard and norm for being human.
V. Central idea
The central idea of “Morality” is to tell us what morality is; having seen that, we regulate our conduct with morality, become benchmarks and models for the world, and play a positive role in the universe.
VI. Educational significance
The principles in “Morality” differ greatly in height and depth from moral education already found on Earth. As a senior administrator of our Small Cosmos Family and our family’s moral benchmark and spokesperson, the author knows the worlds under administration very well and deeply understands how essential morality is for each person’s growth and how it bears on the whole family’s development and progress. In depth, the author clarifies that humanity is the higher-intelligence species meant to lead other species, endowed by the Creator with the power to lift and develop them. The height the author holds is beyond Earth’s reach; the depth explained is likewise unheard of on Earth.
The text teaches that establishing virtue is the foundation and root of being human. Because many countries on Earth do not emphasize moral education, most relatives in the Earth world do not know how to regulate themselves with morality. In some countries, even high officials and public figures fall from grace or bring ruin on themselves because their virtue does not match their position—such ugliness does not occur in the just worlds of higher-dimensional space. In truth, not only individuals need to establish virtue; a country and a world need it too—that is, public virtue for the country and for the world. Earth’s long history of strife and war stems largely from public virtue not being established; on our planet there is not yet a strong just force that upholds world peace and world public virtue—that, too, is a result of people on Earth generally lacking moral awareness.
Thus establishing virtue is not only the foundation and root of being human but the basis of harmony and civilizational progress for a country and a world. Morality is like the root of a towering tree and the foundation of a high building. How much a person can achieve in the universe depends on moral caliber; how far a country or world can develop likewise depends on the level of its public virtue. That is the educational significance of “Morality.”
That concludes Article 1 of Character & Conduct, “Morality.” Next we study Article 2, “Our Spirit.”
Character & Conduct, Article 2 — Our Spirit
Article 2 of Character & Conduct, “Our Spirit,” is a short piece of a little over one thousand characters in seven paragraphs. I will explain it in seven steps. Please look at the teaching diagram on the screen; first we go through the content.
I. Content of the article
Paragraph 1
Paragraph 1 expresses four things:
Our family’s spirit: selfless dedication, fearlessness in hardship, creative courage, willingness to shoulder responsibility, and so on.
It is by this spirit that our family has received much help and support from the greater universe’s relevant departments and achieved steady development.
Such family spirit is also a trait of our family.
Family spirit is continually passed on and developed; it is forever engraved in every family member’s heart and has become one of the most important parts of life.
Paragraph 2
Paragraph 2 has three layers:
As family members, we must know how to cherish our family, safeguard the family’s interests, and dedicate ourselves selflessly to its ongoing development. This sentence describes members’ responsibility and duty.
We must develop these noble spirits, because they help us keep progressing. This sentence is about the role of developing noble spirit.
To develop these noble spirits better, we need basic quality and caliber. This sentence states the basic condition for developing noble spirit.
Paragraph 3
Paragraph 3 has two layers:
The effect of acting selflessly.
Developing noble spirit and continually training ability.
Paragraph 4
Paragraph 4 has two meanings:
First, to give full play to noble spirit, we must first activate noble spirit.
Second, to activate these inborn noble spirits, we need a certain amount of love and a certain amount of positive information and energy; how fully we can activate them depends on how great our love and sense of responsibility are and how strong our sense of mission is.
The core of paragraph 4 is the necessary conditions for activating our own noble spirit; it is also the core of the whole article.
Paragraph 5
Paragraph 5 expresses the effect and meaning of fully activating noble spirit.
Paragraph 6
Paragraph 6 expresses the importance of understanding the principles the article presents.
Paragraph 7
Paragraph 7 expresses the relationship between the quality of life and developing noble spirit.
Having seen the whole article, we summarize its main points.
II. Main points
I have summarized five main points for this article, as on the screen:
The spirit of our Small Cosmos Family
Family members’ responsibility and duty toward the family
The premise of developing noble spirit
The necessary conditions for activating noble spirit
The relationship between quality of life and developing noble spirit
First, the spirit of our Small Cosmos Family. Our family’s main spirit is selfless dedication, fearlessness in hardship, creative courage, and willingness to shoulder responsibility—that is what the first sentence describes.
Second, family members’ responsibility and duty toward the family. As members, we must cherish our family, safeguard its interests, and dedicate ourselves selflessly to its development. That is the first sentence of paragraph 2.
Third, the premise of developing noble spirit. To give full play to these noble spirits, we must first activate them—that is, activating noble spirit is the prerequisite for fully developing them.
Fourth, the necessary conditions for activating noble spirit. To activate these inborn noble spirits, we need a certain amount of love and a certain amount of positive information and energy; without these as a foundation, the noble spirits in our lives are hard to activate fully. How fully we can activate them depends on how great our love and sense of responsibility are and how strong our sense of mission is; those are the necessary conditions for activating all noble spirit.
The third and fourth points come from paragraph 4; they are the core of the core and the author’s reason for writing.
Fifth, the relationship between quality of life and developing noble spirit. What kind of spirit we have implies what kind of quality of life; the higher our quality of life, the more fully we can express these inborn noble spirits. That sentence comes from the end of the article.
III. Truths revealed
The article reveals three truths unknown to us on Earth that relatives should take seriously.
Truth one: Our family has relied on family spirit to receive much help and support from the greater universe’s relevant departments and achieve steady development.
Truth two: As just lives, we possess noble spirits endowed by the Creator.
Truth three: To activate these inborn noble spirits, we need a certain amount of love and a certain amount of positive information and energy.
IV. Terminology
Spirit
The theme of Article 2 of Character & Conduct is “our spirit”—how should we rightly understand “spirit”?
“Spirit” describes a kind of mindset. Spirit can be positive or negative and can be graded by level. Human spirit can be positive or negative; just people have spirit, and evil people have spirit too. The spirit of just people is positive; the spirit of evil people is negative. Human spirit also has levels—for example, positive spirit has many levels: the higher the level of a just person, the nobler the spirit; likewise, the higher the level of an evil person, the baser the spirit. For now, relatives may understand the term “spirit” in this way.
V. Difficult sentences
Difficult sentence one
“To activate these inborn noble spirits, we need a certain amount of love and a certain amount of positive information and energy”—this is a sentence from paragraph 4. A reader-relative asked why that is so; here is a brief explanation.
Humanity was created by the Creator as a higher-intelligence species meant to lead; each human life was infused with love and set with noble spirit at creation. We can say every new human life the Creator makes is purely positive-energy and selflessly loving. Living in the universe, a heart full of love and wholehearted positive energy is the normal state of survival and fulfills the leader’s duty and mission. Those of us in lower-dimensional worlds had not received high-level, higher-dimensional wisdom education before; we did not know how to accumulate positive information or block negative information, and we accumulated much negative information under environmental influence. That is why our lives often run negatively and we cannot activate these inborn noble spirits. When our lives are led by positive information, we are full of positive energy, life runs positively, and we can activate inborn noble spirit; when our lives are led by negative information, we are full of negative energy, life runs negatively, and we cannot express the noble spirit and many abilities the Creator set. The sentence “To activate these inborn noble spirits, we need a certain amount of love and a certain amount of positive information and energy” teaches us to begin by cultivating love and accumulating positive information and energy to activate noble spirit—that is not a tall demand but the basic condition for activation.
Difficult sentence two
How fully we can activate these noble spirits depends on how great our love and sense of responsibility are and how strong our sense of mission is.
This sentence is also from paragraph 4. A reader-relative asked how one can have great love and strong responsibility and mission.
That is an excellent question; it goes to the root of life. Great love, responsibility, and strong mission come from a higher level of life and a larger scope. Some people live only for themselves; some for a household; some for a workplace; some for a nation; some embrace the universe and live for the just universe’s upward development. Different levels and scopes determine how much love and responsibility one can have and how strong one’s sense of mission is. That is why relevant administrative departments in higher-dimensional space convey the Higher-Dimensional Wisdom series to Earth—to raise relatives’ level and scope. Character & Conduct is the most foundational material for raising our level of life.
VI. Central idea
“Our Spirit” tells us that as the higher-intelligence species called human beings, we are born with many noble spirits from the Creator and are taught to expand love and accumulate positive information and energy to activate these inborn noble spirits and contribute more to the family’s development. Article 2, “Our Spirit,” and Article 14, “Developing,” both concern spirit but emphasize different things: “Our Spirit” focuses on how to activate inborn noble spirit; “Developing” focuses on developing those spirits. Relatives may study the two together and see why the author arranged them this way.
VII. Educational significance
Before relevant administrative departments in higher-dimensional space could convey this higher-dimensional wisdom to Earth, no one on Earth knew humanity was created as the species meant to lead others, nor that we were born with many noble spirits, nor how to activate them, let alone what developing those spirits means for ourselves and the cosmos, nor that our Small Cosmos Family owes its steady development to developing the family’s noble spirits.
Without knowing these truths, we on Earth would find change and growth hard; only by knowing more truth can we return to the nature of just lives, activate inborn noble spirit, develop it to the full, gain awareness to cherish the family and safeguard its interests, dedicate ourselves selflessly to the family and the cosmos’s ongoing development, and embody greater value in the universe.
If morality is the foundation and root of being human, noble spirit is the pillar of continual upward growth and development for a person; a just person without noble spirit for support cannot play a positive role or survive long in the universe. That is the educational significance of “Our Spirit.” Of course, this is only my present understanding; I hope it offers relatives some inspiration as a reference for grasping the article. That concludes Article 2, “Our Spirit.” Next I will explain Article 3, “Conduct.”
Character & Conduct, Article 3 — Conduct
Article 3, “Conduct,” is a little over eleven hundred characters in eight paragraphs. The piece looks simple but has real height and depth and far-reaching intent. I explain it in four steps to help relatives grasp its essence. Please see the screen diagram. First I summarize the article’s points:
I. Main points of the article
- The importance of how conduct shows
The article states the importance of how conduct shows in three direct points:
First, if everything we show in conduct is fitting, we not only express the dignity of our lives but also supply positive information to the universe and help it keep developing upward (from paragraph 1).
Second, conduct matters because our conduct affects the universe’s information field (paragraph 5). Whatever conduct we have, such is the information the universe holds. If all our conduct is positive, the information we give the universe is positive; if any of our conduct is negative, the information we give includes negative as well (paragraph 5).
- Consequences of not attending to how conduct shows
The article gives three points on the consequences of neglecting conduct:
First, if we have poor conduct, it shows the low level of our lives (paragraph 1).
Second, if we do not value each act, we will lack awareness to correct ourselves and may unknowingly show poor conduct (paragraph 3).
Third, when we do not value our conduct, we easily sink and slide toward evil worlds (paragraph 6).
- How to value our own conduct
The article gives two points on how to value our conduct:
First, always examine ourselves and stay aware of the importance of each act (paragraph 3).
Second, each person must observe their conduct closely and change with intent so that each act is a positive showing (paragraph 4).
Having sorted the article’s points, we turn to the truths it reveals.
II. Truths revealed
Truth one
If everything we show in conduct is fitting, we not only express the dignity of our lives but also supply positive information to the universe and help it keep developing upward (paragraph 1).
Truth two
Conduct affects the universe’s information field; if all our conduct is positive, the information we give is positive; if any conduct is negative, our information includes negative as well (paragraph 5).
Truth three
When we do not value our conduct, we easily sink and slide toward evil worlds (paragraph 6).
Truth four
Just worlds need positive-energy lives; evil worlds need negative-energy lives (summarized from paragraph 6).
Truth five
Just worlds grant just lives great freedom to develop so each just life can happily embody greater value in the universe (paragraph 6).
Truth six
Lives in evil worlds have a strong drive to control; they bind those there in many ways and allow little freedom (paragraph 6).
Having summarized these six truths, I turn to the central idea.
III. Central idea
“Conduct” clarifies the importance of attending to how we show in conduct and the cost of neglecting it, teaching us that sound conduct not only helps us rise but fosters just worlds. It urges us to value how we show, make each act positive, choose the right path of life, become positive-energy people, and grow freely, happily, and joyfully in just worlds while contributing our strength to those worlds.
IV. Educational significance
The author compiled Character & Conduct to help family members raise quality and caliber and deeply see their own unhelpful conduct. The material is systematic and detailed; if we study it well and reflect deeply, each article can help us. Relatives who have not yet risen to very high levels will find their own gaps in every article. Because many members’ levels are not high, the author leads relatives in every respect so we can correct unhelpful habits and thought patterns in every detail, raise quality, caliber, and level of life, and gradually meet the Creator’s design—becoming truly higher-intelligence lives. Without correcting and completing ourselves by this material, we cannot show the true dignity of our species.
Studying “Conduct” seriously shows why we on Earth live in such a low-level world, fail to become higher-level lives, and cannot survive and serve at higher levels: our life level is too low and many problems remain unchanged. To raise one’s level and meet the Creator’s design, one must know cosmic truth, correct wrong thought and conduct, and raise life’s energy frequency. Humanity was meant to lead lower species; because we on Earth have not played that role, we need these teachings to correct ourselves and return to a normal state of survival so we can play a positive role and embody the value we should in the universe.
Today we are fortunate to study this material on Earth; if we learn seriously and change, we can greatly raise our level and have a chance to ascend to higher-dimensional worlds to serve more. Therefore we should be grateful, use our time on Earth well, study and change ourselves, and lead more relatives to change so more relatives can embody greater value in higher-dimensional worlds. That is the educational significance of “Conduct.”
That concludes Article 3 of Character & Conduct, “Conduct.” Next we study Article 4, “Bearing and Demeanor.”
Character & Conduct, Article 4 — Bearing and Demeanor
“Bearing and Demeanor” is quite deep and rich in knowledge; relatives without a certain foundation in higher-dimensional wisdom may find it hard. To help relatives understand, I first explain six terms used here: bearing and demeanor, life state, inner cultivation, life information, life energy, and the frequency of life energy, and spell out the related higher-dimensional wisdom as clearly as I can. After the terminology, I will go through the truths revealed, the article’s core thesis, central idea, and educational significance in order.
First, the six terms.
Terminology
- Bearing and demeanor
A person’s bearing and demeanor are the outward image of their life state—that is how the article opens. In fact, bearing and demeanor are the outward expression of inner cultivation. Whatever one’s inner cultivation, such is one’s bearing and demeanor.
- Life state
Life state means how life is running. Because lower-dimensional space in the universe holds negative information and energy, lives there are affected by it, and most lives’ survival states run negatively. People in negative running cannot show good bearing and demeanor; only those in positive running can.
- Inner cultivation
“Inner” can be read as a person’s core life system and how the heart runs; “cultivate” (修) can be read as “correcting”—correcting negative, unhelpful mindsets; “nourish” (养) can be read as “cultivating”—cultivating positive, sound mindsets. The essence of “inner cultivation” is that by clearing negative information stored in the core life system and training the heart, one gains the ability to govern one’s heart so the core system and heart run positively—that is what “inner cultivation” means in this article.
- Life information
Life information is the information a life holds, divided into innate and acquired. Innate information is what the Creator infused at creation; acquired information is what a life accumulates while living in the universe. Together they are called life information.
- Life energy
Life energy is the energy a person has. Part of it was infused when the Creator made the core life system—just enough to keep the core system running; most of it is acquired afterward. Though the infused part matters, what truly lets us function is acquired energy. However much we can accumulate is however much we can use to serve in the universe; otherwise, however high the core system is set at birth, without enough acquired energy we cannot express the life system’s role—that is the importance of acquiring life energy.
- Frequency of life energy
The frequency of life energy is the frequency of the energy a life holds. Frequency can be read simply as the “strength” or “power” of energy: higher frequency means stronger ability; lower frequency means weaker. Relatives may understand it this simply for now.
I hope these six explanations help relatives understand the article; next I summarize the truths it reveals.
II. Truths revealed
Truth one
Our inner cultivation directly affects our outward bearing and demeanor; sound inner cultivation keeps our spirit in a good state, and that good state lends dignity to our appearance (see paragraph 2).
Truth two
Our life information can change all systems of our life; whatever life information we have makes us the level of person we are (paragraph 4).
Truth three
Whatever level of life information we have matches that level of life energy; if our life information is all positive, our life energy is all positive; conversely, if it is all negative, our life energy is all negative (paragraph 4).
This truth can be summed up as: the positive or negative sign of life information determines the positive or negative sign of life energy.
Truth four
Our own life energy determines each person’s inner cultivation, because life energy directs all our life systems. If our life energy is in a positive state, the whole life system runs positively; when it runs positively, the whole life is in a positive state, and that positive state lets our cultivation rise and our bearing and demeanor show well; conversely, if our life energy is negative, the whole system runs negatively, and when it all runs negatively, the whole life is in a negative state (paragraph 5).
This truth can be summed up as: whether our own life energy is positive or negative decisively steers how all life systems run.
Truth five
Because the frequency of our own life energy is too low to receive nourishment from the universe’s high-frequency energy, it is impossible for our cultivation to rise greatly or to a very high realm (paragraph 6).
These five truths are five aspects I summarized; to reinforce understanding and memory, relatives may restate them in your own words.
III. Core thesis
The core thesis of “Bearing and Demeanor” is that our inner cultivation directly affects our outward bearing and demeanor; sound inner cultivation keeps our spirit in a good state, and that good state lends dignity to our appearance (from paragraph 2).
IV. Central idea
“Bearing and Demeanor” explains truths about life and the cosmos concerning life information, life energy, and the frequency of our own life energy as they determine inner cultivation, and teaches us to accumulate positive life information and life energy in daily life and raise the frequency of our own life energy, thereby strengthening inner cultivation and attaining good bearing and demeanor.
V. Educational significance
The educational significance of “Bearing and Demeanor” is that it not only shows us inner cultivation determines outward bearing and demeanor but, more importantly, reveals that the three factors determining inner cultivation are life information, life energy, and the frequency of our own life energy—truths we on Earth have never heard.
Though the piece is short, it conveys much precious higher-dimensional wisdom: good bearing and demeanor rest on stronger inner cultivation, and the key to inner cultivation is continually accumulating positive information and life energy and raising the frequency of our own life energy.
Character & Conduct is precious material that teaches us to raise quality and caliber from inner and outer, whole and detail; every article stays rooted in how to be human. “Bearing and demeanor” concerns outward expression but clarifies deep principles of inner cultivation to help us walk the right path of life. That concludes Article 4 of Character & Conduct, “Bearing and Demeanor.” Next, a brief summary of this lecture.
Character & Conduct, Lecture One — Summary
Lecture One covered four articles from Character & Conduct: Article 1 “Morality,” Article 2 “Our Spirit,” Article 3 “Conduct,” and Article 4 “Bearing and Demeanor.” Here is a brief statement of their educational aim.
Article 1 “Morality” teaches us to follow the Way and establish virtue.
Article 2 “Our Spirit” teaches us to activate and develop our inborn noble spirit.
Article 3 “Conduct” teaches us to value how we show in conduct.
Article 4 “Bearing and Demeanor” teaches us that sound bearing and demeanor come from stronger inner cultivation.
Article 1 “Morality” lays the foundation for the whole work and can be read as the general statement of Character & Conduct; Article 2 “Our Spirit” is like a pillar—support for growth and development; Article 3 “Conduct” is the general treatment of all outward conduct; Article 4 “Bearing and Demeanor” is the detailed account of how outward expression reflects inner cultivation.
Relatives may use these pointers to see how the twenty-one articles of Character & Conduct are arranged, so that you grasp each article deeply and also see how they connect and the overall thought of the whole book. That ends Lecture One; thank you for watching. See you in the next lecture.
Higher-Dimensional Wisdom: Character & Conduct — Lecture Two
Hello, relatives!
In the last lecture we studied the first four articles of Character & Conduct; we now begin Lecture Two. In Lecture Two we will study together:
Article 5 — The Importance of Outward Expression
Part Six The laws of human life and survival
Part Seven Our character
Part Eight Our lives
Part Nine The power of a smile
First, let us study together Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Five, “The Importance of Outer Expression.”
Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Five: The Importance of Outer Expression
“The Importance of Outer Expression” is a short piece of a little over nine hundred characters. Though not hard to understand, the principles it sets forth are very deep and far-reaching. To help relatives grasp this article, I will explain it from five aspects as shown on the screen.
I. Content of the article
The article is divided into six paragraphs. Below is an overview of what each paragraph conveys:
Paragraph one opens directly and tells us that outer expression matters because whatever outer expression we have, we exert a corresponding influence on the outer environment.
Paragraph two tells us that outer expression also generates information, so that we understand the truth that good outer expression brings not only beauty to this world but also positive information and energy, while poor outer expression brings negative information and energy to this world.
Paragraph three teaches us to attend both to raising inner cultivation and to presentable outer expression.
Paragraph four teaches us that humanity holds a high place in the universe; no matter what kind of world we live in, we should care about our outer expression and bring beauty to the world and joy to others, so that we understand that good expression is the most basic expression of being human.
Paragraph five, continuing from paragraph four, further explains that slovenly expression does not befit humanity’s noble identity; no matter how hard life is, we must not fall short of that noble identity or violate the purpose that everything is to serve the universe, and teaches us that only with such elevation of mind can we have such awareness.
Paragraph six clarifies that the purpose of conveying this knowledge is so we may know how to be human, what the purpose of being human is, and what direction to take as human beings, thereby helping us lay a sound foundation for development in the universe, and hoping we can correct and elevate ourselves in every detail.
II. Why should people care about outer expression?
Although the article does not state this in so many words, it makes the issue clear—and this is the core of the piece. The author helps us see why we should care about outer expression from two angles:
- Matching identity and status
As the high-intelligence species, we have a noble identity. In the universe, any species capable of creating worlds holds a high standing. Given such a noble identity and so elevated a standing, we should care about outer expression and let our presentation be fitting, matching our noble identity and status, thereby bringing beauty to this world and positive information and energy to the universe. This is the thought expressed in paragraphs three and four.
- Impact on the outer environment
From the positive side of good outer expression and the negative side of poor outer expression, the author clarifies what influence a person’s outer expression has on the environment.
(1) Positive influence
A person’s good outer expression brings beauty to this world and positive information and positive energy to this world.
(2) Negative influence
If a person’s words and conduct are improper, clothes disheveled, and appearance slovenly, that brings negative information and energy to this world.
The truth the author gives us—that a person’s good or poor expression brings opposite kinds of influence on the world—together with awareness of our noble identity, helps us understand that we must care not only about raising inner cultivation but also about good outer expression. The two points summarized above for relatives are in fact the two supports for the thesis of the importance of outer expression; they are the core of the whole text.
III. Answering readers’ questions
Reader question one
A reader asked: In paragraph four, the first sentence of Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Five, “The Importance of Outer Expression,” says that in the universe, any species capable of creating worlds has a very high standing.
Some evil species can also create worlds. Do they also have a very high standing?
The answer obtained by consulting the author is as follows: The relevant administration in higher-dimensional space conveys to Earth the orthodox teaching of the righteous universe; here “orthodox” means regular and unified. The management system of the grand universe does not include evil worlds. Evil worlds are like criminal organizations on our Earth: they have their own rules and do not submit to the administration of the grand universe. Some evil worlds have also gradually evolved from righteous beings who, after creating worlds on their own, considered themselves above the orthodox management of the grand universe and drifted outside that system. Among all righteous species, it goes without saying that high-intelligence species capable of creating worlds hold a very high standing. We should also understand that among evil species, evil high-intelligence species capable of creating worlds likewise have a very high standing. The answer stops here.
Reader question two
A reader asked: What does outer expression include? Is all outer expression important?
So-called outer expression is everything a life form shows outwardly. For example, human outer expression includes speech and conduct, standing, sitting, lying down, dress, and every other detail of presentation. There are many such details; people often say “sit properly, stand properly, eat properly, walk properly”—all of that refers to outer expression. Again, for instance, style of dress, fabric, color coordination, accessories, hairstyle, facial appearance, and so on all belong to outer expression. Relatives can classify and refine further from these hints, because every detail of outer expression represents a person’s taste and cultivation and reflects the level of that person’s life; therefore all outer expression is important.
IV. Central idea
Through telling us how good outer expression and poor outer expression produce utterly different effects on this world, “The Importance of Outer Expression” helps us understand the importance of outer expression and teaches us to raise inner cultivation while also caring about outer expression, so that our good outer appearance accords with the noble identity of high-intelligence life.
V. Educational significance
“The Importance of Outer Expression” helps us understand that we are a high-intelligence species with a noble identity and high standing in the universe, and that such identity and standing call for fitting outer expression to match. The article also makes clear that a person’s good outer expression brings others joy, beauty to this world, and positive information and energy, while poor outer expression brings negative information and energy to this world. Relatives living on Earth, lacking education in high-end, high-dimensional wisdom, mostly lack awareness of the noble identity of high-intelligence life; relatives living at the bottom of society are especially weak in this regard, living too casually, and many do not care about their outer expression. Long exposure to negative information and the management and ways of life of evil worlds has left relatives on Earth unable to tell true from false, good from evil, or beauty from ugliness—sometimes even taking ugliness for beauty—so that vulgar outer expression spreads unchecked. This is true both in real life and in public media. Relatives on Earth urgently need to raise the level of their lives; otherwise very few will be able to ascend to higher-dimensional worlds. To change this situation and save relatives on Earth, relatives must know the truth and understand that change begins from the most basic details. Anyone who wishes to raise the level of their life must care about outer expression, because a person can convey the level of their life to others through outer expression; a person’s level is plain to see from outer expression.
“The Importance of Outer Expression” has already told us the principles and truth about outer expression. If we study and take them to heart, we will develop a strong sense of identity and will attend to the details of outer expression, so that everything we show is positive and fitting. Thus the level of our lives will gradually rise, and we will gradually return to the proper place of high-intelligence life. Change in one person works this way; change in a society or the whole Earth likewise depends on spreading the education of the righteous universe system—when everyone changes and the level of life rises, the broad environment of society can change and the whole world can advance. This is the educational significance of “The Importance of Outer Expression.” Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Five, “The Importance of Outer Expression,” ends here. Next we study together Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Six, “The Laws of Human Life and Survival.”
Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Six: The Laws of Human Life and Survival
Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Six, “The Laws of Human Life and Survival,” is well grounded and deeply meaningful. To help relatives understand it, I will walk through the article in five steps as shown on the screen and help relatives grasp its essence.
I. Truth revealed
The Creator made the human species so that we would serve and devote ourselves to the universe, gain experience in the universe, and emit the information the universe needs. Our species also has the duty to lead other species upward in development. Paragraph three of the article reveals this truth. This truth clarifies the purpose for which humanity was created; it is very important for knowing our own life and reflecting on our path. This truth is the article’s supporting argument.
II. Core content
I summarize the core content of this article in six points as on the screen:
What the law of human life and survival is
Why we should live according to the laws of the universe
Reasons for violating the law of survival
The harm of not knowing cosmic truth
What to do when we do not know cosmic truth
Benefits gained from learning this knowledge
First, what is the law of human life and survival?
In fact, the law of human life and survival is simple: as long as everything is lived in a positive way, that is living in accord with the universe—that is the law of human life and survival. This is what the opening sentence of paragraph two expresses.
Second, why should we live according to the laws of the universe?
Only by living according to the laws of the universe—that is, according to the program the Creator set for us—can we live better and better, happier and happier, and increasingly manifest our own value.
The Creator made the human species so that we would serve and devote ourselves to the universe, gain experience in the universe, and emit the information the universe needs. Our species also has the duty to lead other species upward in development; therefore what we do must match what we were set up to be, or our way of living will not match the law of survival of our own life.
Since the Creator made humanity to help the universe develop upward, we cannot violate that principle; otherwise we violate the law of survival of our own life. If we do not understand these truths, we will be blind, at a loss, and lose the direction of survival.
These three points fully argue why each of us should live according to the laws of the universe. Please read paragraphs two, three, and four to take in what the author means.
Third, reasons for violating the law of survival: not knowing cosmic truth and the truth of life.
Fourth, the harm of not knowing cosmic truth:
Paragraphs five and six explain the harm of not knowing cosmic truth. I summarize the following points for relatives’ reference. People who do not know cosmic truth tend to have or easily fall into these problems:
They may degenerate into people who do not match the law of human life and survival.
They run counter to the Creator’s purpose and obstruct the upward development of the universe.
They lack elevation and easily fall into self-righteousness—and the stronger their ability, the more easily they do so.
They may live by rules they make up that violate the laws of the universe; this is worse still.
They may live by their own fantasies and also make rules that violate the laws of the universe to constrain or even control others; such people become destroyers of the universe.
The author devotes considerable space to the harm of not knowing cosmic truth; in effect this explains the importance of knowing cosmic truth and teaches us to consciously and actively learn more cosmic truth.
Fifth, what to do when we do not know cosmic truth.
Conduct ourselves according to the conscience within our hearts; our conscience is the root of how we behave. Paragraph seven gives this answer. In that paragraph the author tells us that conscience is set by the Creator and that righteous beings have it from birth. It is mentioned in one sentence without elaboration, yet it contains very profound mysteries of human life. I will give a dedicated talk on conscience.
Sixth, benefits gained from learning this knowledge.
Knowing cosmic truth and, through these truths, changing and elevating ourselves so that we exist in the universe with greater value than before and in greater accord with the law of human life and survival—this is what the closing of the article explains, and it is also the author’s purpose in writing this article and compiling this textbook.
III. Difficult points explained
Paragraph six says that if we do not understand cosmic truth, we can conduct ourselves according to the conscience in our hearts, because we were given such a setting when we were created. How should we understand conscience? On this question I also consulted the author specifically; below is the explanation I organized:
How to understand “conscience”
Because the Creator set justice, selflessness, universal love, kindness, and other noble traits for righteous lives, as long as a person’s conscience is not extinguished, they will more or less be drawn by the program set at the beginning of their life and by the original life information infused into them. When relatives on Earth do not know the truth, the reason we say to conduct ourselves according to the conscience in our hearts is the hope that relatives on Earth can return to the nature of righteous life, so as not to stray from the track of life. Only, different people are polluted to different degrees; conscience is not as pure as when they were first created. Relatives who are more deeply polluted have accumulated so much negative information that the original life information does not play its proper role, and therefore conscience does not show. In fact, “knowing the good” is an ability the Creator set for humanity—that is, the heart’s ability to perceive conscience; this ability matters greatly for human beings, because the ability to know the good enables walking the right path and playing a positive role in the universe. What we usually call conscience is the heart’s feedback of positive information from the core system of life. Yet when a person has degenerated to a certain degree, the ability to know the good is lost, and with it conscience is lost. What we Earth people usually call conscience refers to a person’s discovery of their own conscience—when a problem arises, it can still touch the depths of their heart. Such discovery of conscience is in fact the original life information buried in the core system of life at work; it depends on what level of matter touches a person and how deeply and how greatly they are moved. For example, people who are more seriously polluted are often not moved to conscience by small things; the degree of pollution differs, and so does the level of matter that can touch conscience. Those who can discover conscience, when they see they have strayed from the track of life and violated their life’s own will, often begin to reflect on their lives. The above is a brief explanation of conscience.
IV. Central idea
The central idea of “The Laws of Human Life and Survival” is to help us understand what the law of human life and survival is, so that we live according to the laws of the universe and in accord with the program the Creator set.
V. Educational significance
“The Laws of Human Life and Survival” clarifies the law of human life and survival in order to tell us to live according to the laws of the universe. When the Creator made each human life, the setup followed the laws of the grand universe; since humanity was created to help the universe develop upward, we as human beings should not violate that principle but should live in every way positively—that is, go along with the laws of the universe.
When we know these truths, only by raising our abilities in every respect so that we better match all the programs the Creator set, and living and working well, can we manifest the value and meaning of our lives. Once we violate the Creator’s purpose, we lose not only the meaning of life but the value of life. Understanding this matters greatly, because many relatives do not understand and live in confusion, tangled in worry and pain, without a correct direction in life, and the core system of life runs in a chaotic state. When relatives have love and life is led by positive information, the core system of life runs normally; when what the core system stores is mostly negative information or life is mostly in a negative state—that is, led by negative information—the core system runs in a negative direction. Imagine a person’s core system constantly alternating between positive and negative operation: how could it be clear and still? Without stillness, how could great wisdom arise? Today most relatives on Earth have core systems running mainly in a negative direction, so it is hard for relatives on Earth to return to true nature, and the core system of life can hardly reach what the Creator intended.
Humanity was created not only to emit positive information in the universe and gain stronger ability through experience to serve the universe, but also to lead other species within the scope of one’s ability to help the universe develop upward—an important duty human life was meant to bear. But relatives on Earth do not know these truths; they only know they are more advanced than some other species and do not clearly see their duties and obligations. Precisely because they do not know these truths, they are easily disturbed, lose direction, become more selfish and degenerate, and even more evil—so spreading high-dimensional wisdom is our most important task at this stage. Only when these truths are told to relatives do relatives have a chance to awaken, see their duties and obligations and the law of survival, and only when they understand can they correct and elevate themselves, play a positive role in the universe, and manifest greater value. This is the educational significance of “The Laws of Human Life and Survival.”
Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Six, “The Laws of Human Life and Survival,” ends here. Next we study together Part Seven, “Our Character.”
Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Seven: Our Character
“Our Character” is only a little over eight hundred characters; taken literally it is not hard. Yet the deep meaning the author intends is not easy to get from the words alone. Below I briefly explain the article in three steps, as on the screen:
I. Main points of the article
This article summarizes seven main points as shown on the screen:
What our noble traits are
Where our noble traits come from
Why we should develop these noble traits
Why noble traits are buried
How to bring out these noble traits
How to express noble traits
The author’s hope
- What our noble traits are
Selflessness, universal love, courage, responsibility, and so on are basic traits we righteous human beings possess. Paragraph one makes this clear.
- Where our noble traits come from
These traits are innate; as long as we are descendants of the righteous family, we have these noble traits. We owe such noble traits to the Creator’s endowment. Paragraphs two and three both explain where our traits come from.
- Why we should develop these noble traits
This is the core question—the principle the author wants us to see in this article. From the article I draw out four points:
First, the Creator gave us such noble traits so that we would develop them in service to the righteous universe. This is my summary from paragraph two.
We already know human life is a high-intelligence product of the Creator; the many noble traits and outstanding abilities the Creator set for us are so that we may play a positive role in the universe.
Second, as righteous beings, if we do not develop these noble traits well, we run counter to the Creator’s purpose. See paragraph three.
Third, we rely on these noble traits to manifest value in the universe. See paragraph five.
Fourth, what traits a person has shapes what fate they have; good traits allow ever greater value to be manifested in the universe, while low or base traits bring miserable fate or even destruction. This is what paragraph six expresses.
The author speaks truth and principle from positive and negative sides so that we understand: developing the noble traits we were born with is the central content of this article.
- Why noble traits are buried
First, if these noble traits are buried, it is because we have been polluted and have not let these noble traits show. This is the last sentence of paragraph three.
Second, the lower-dimensional the space relatives live in, the harder it is for these noble traits to show, because relatives are disturbed by chaotic energy fields, lose direction in life, and even become more degenerate and find it hard to return to true nature and activate these noble traits. This is what paragraph four expresses.
These two points help us understand why our innate noble traits are buried.
- How to bring out these noble traits
Paragraph four tells us: as long as relatives keep raising the energy frequency of their lives, these noble traits can gradually be brought out. Though only one sentence, it matters greatly and gives us the method to activate noble traits.
- How to express noble traits
The last sentence of paragraph four tells us: for these noble traits to be well expressed, we must keep expanding love, dare to take responsibility, and strengthen responsibility and sense of mission. Again one sentence, but it tells us how to express noble traits.
- The author’s hope
We should live valuably in the universe, become servants and givers to the universe, take manifesting greater value as the ultimate goal of life, and let the noble traits we were born with be fully expressed.
The last paragraph states the author’s hope for us; in fact it is also the purpose of this article.
II. Central idea
“Our Character” clarifies what our noble traits are, where they come from, and the truth and principle of why we should develop them, and teaches us to develop these noble traits, serve the righteous universe, manifest the value of life, and not bury the noble traits the Creator set for us.
III. Educational significance
“Our Character” helps us understand that selflessness, universal love, courage, responsibility, and other noble traits are innate in every righteous person. On Earth many relatives have had these noble traits buried because they were disturbed by Earth’s huge negative energy field, lost direction in life, and even became more degenerate. Therefore it is hard to return to true nature and activate these noble traits; this is largely why Earth has so many hard problems.
After studying this article, each of us can examine ourselves, find our own problems, and according to the article’s teaching raise the energy frequency of our lives, gradually bring out our noble traits, keep expanding love, strengthen responsibility and sense of mission, and let these noble traits be well expressed.
In fact, these noble traits together are the nature of our righteous life. When the series on high-dimensional wisdom often speaks of returning to true nature, it means returning to the nature of righteous life and expressing the noble traits the Creator set for each of us; the process of bringing out and developing noble traits is the process of raising the level of life and manifesting the value of one’s own life. To raise the overall level of the Earth world, there is only one path: universal awakening and jointly raising the level of life.
Though Character & Conduct (Pinxing) is a textbook to help each relative raise personal quality and cultivation, it is precisely a precious work that saves Earth people and the Earth world. The root problem of the human world is the problem of human beings; the root problem of human beings is what kind of person to be and how to be a person—and Character & Conduct (Pinxing) is the precious textbook that teaches people to live in accord with the Way and how to do so.
Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Seven, “Our Character,” ends here. Next I explain for relatives Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Eight, “Our Lives.”
Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Eight: Our Lives
For Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Eight, “Our Lives,” I follow the author’s line of thought as on the screen: I will sort out the article’s thesis—why choose the right path in life? how to walk the right path? the author’s hope—in four points to help relatives grasp the thread of the article, then summarize the central idea and educational significance so relatives can deeply take in the article’s meaning.
I. Thesis
No matter what life we go through, we must choose the right path in life. The article uses paragraph one as setup and states the thesis of the whole piece in paragraph two.
II. Why walk the right path in life
The author explains from positive and negative sides why we should walk the right path in life.
First the positive side:
Only when we choose the right path in life does hardship we go through have value. (See paragraph two.)
Only when we choose the right path in life can we manifest the true value of life. (See paragraph three.)
Only when we choose the right path in life can we bring benefit to others and the universe and manifest our own value. (See paragraph four.)
Then the negative side:
If we turn the wrong way, choose degeneration, and choose the wrong direction in life, then the hardship we go through has no value. (See paragraph two.)
A worthless person, however much wealth or power they have, has still failed in life; a failed life faces destruction—only sooner or later. (See paragraph five.)
When a person cannot find light, their life has failed and is miserable; such a life manifests no value and, from long living in such a state, becomes a hidden danger to this world. (See paragraph eight.)
The positive and negative explanations together make clear why we should walk the right path in life.
III. How to walk the right path in life
Only by staying in a positive state of mind, following inner guidance, and not violating conscience can we walk the right path in life and not turn the wrong way. (See paragraph three.)
Success or failure in life depends on wisdom, because we must learn from what we have lived through to raise wisdom and ensure we keep striving in the right direction. (See paragraph three.)
We must learn to temper ourselves on the long journey of life, choosing the right direction from every small thing, and play a positive role in the universe. (See paragraph six.)
Paragraphs three and six explain how to walk the right path in life.
IV. The author’s hope
The author hopes all relatives will choose the right path in life, become lives of value, and manifest greater value in the universe. This hope, offered at the end in the voice of a universe administrator, is the purpose of “Our Lives.”
V. Central idea
Though each of us has a different life, we must all choose the right path in life, because only then can we manifest value in the universe. This is the central idea of “Our Lives.”
VI. Educational significance
“Our Lives” clearly tells us what path in life we should walk to live more valuably, and helps us understand that choosing the wrong path brings worry, pain, and even destruction.
The Earth we live on is in the lowest-dimensional space in the universe; many relatives’ lives are not fulfilled, and some have even chosen the wrong direction and are moving toward evil worlds, which puts universe administrators in a very passive position—because relatives chose wrong without knowing the truth. In fact every person’s life can be very rich and can play a greater role and manifest greater value in the universe, tasting all kinds of joy on their journey and appreciating the beauty and wonder the grand universe offers. It is because relatives still lack such high life level and energy frequency that they keep cycling in lower-dimensional worlds, cannot transcend themselves, cannot appreciate more of the grand universe’s beauty, and cannot experience more happiness and joy from righteous worlds. That is to say, to live in a world of pure positive energy is very happy; such a life is full of endless delight, everyone can feel the beauty this world brings and how happy it is to live in the universe—such a life is very valuable and meaningful. For a tiny life to receive such happiness and manifest such value—how could such a life not be beautiful? Relatives living on Earth do not have this experience, because Earth is a huge negative energy field; relatives are not pure and live under pressure, worry, and pain, so they cannot feel true happiness and joy. Precisely because they do not feel true happiness and joy, they keep emitting negative information and make the space they live in more and more negative; when so many people live in such a negative state, the whole world is dark and light cannot be seen. In a dark world, people naturally cannot obtain true happiness and joy.
This comes from the environment. Relatives on Earth have not felt how rich life can be because everyone lives under pressure and survives passively in this negative state, growing more and more lost. A world of pure positive energy gives each person a very rich life; a negative energy field gives relatives a very tragic life—these two worlds give relatives utterly different conditions of existence. Therefore each of us should reflect, see how heavy our responsibility is, and for the sake of manifesting greater life value each do our utmost to help more relatives awaken, understand the meaning of survival, choose the right path in life, establish a correct outlook on life, values, and the universe, and all become joyful—only then do relatives have a chance to develop toward higher-dimensional worlds and experience a different life.
It is the wish of relatives in the relevant departments of higher-dimensional space that relatives on Earth live more valuable, richer lives; in fact they are doing their utmost in that direction, though most relatives on Earth still do not know. Spreading high-dimensional wisdom until all awaken is a great thing; relatives who have awakened will understand.
Part Eight, “Our Lives,” ends here. Next I explain for relatives Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Nine, “The Power of a Smile.”
Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Nine: The Power of a Smile
This article tells relatives many truths Earth people do not know and contains very deep principles. To help relatives understand, I first sort the content by five points as in this article’s thesis: why care about smiles? how to show more smiles? reasons we cannot smile and how serious that is; the author’s hope; then I answer one reader question; finally I summarize the central idea and educational significance.
I. Summary of content
- Thesis of this article
Every smile we show has power and affects the universe’s information field to some extent; we must not belittle any smile or overlook the power each smile holds. Paragraph one states the thesis of the whole piece.
- Why care about smiles
First, because smiles generate positive information, can make the universe’s information field calmer and more peaceful, and thus make the frequency of the universe’s energy field higher and higher. (See paragraph one.)
Second, because smiles can melt the cold of this world and warm everyone’s heart. (See paragraph five.)
Third, showing a smile is a very efficient kind of giving. (See paragraph six.)
- How to show more smiles
Only by attending to ourselves in every detail of life and letting every act and thought emit positive information can we accumulate positive energy; when more and more positive information and energy accumulate in our lives, we can show more smiles and give others warmth. This is described in paragraph five.
- Reasons we cannot smile and how serious that is
Paragraphs three and four explain why we cannot smile and how serious that is. I summarize five points:
First, because many relatives’ own life information is too negative, smiles rarely appear in their lives, so the innate ability is left unused.
Second, the less positive information in a person’s life, the fewer their smiles.
Third, when we lack smiles it means less and less positive information in our lives and that our lives have lost value—we live in darkness.
Fourth, when a person’s heart is dark, of course they cannot show a smile.
Fifth, even if some people show a smile for their own gain, such a smile has no power, because it does not come from the heart; a smile must come from the heart to work—a smile that is not genuine has no power.
These five points tell us: when we rarely show smiles, it means our lives are not running in a positive direction—more terrible than illness of the body.
- The author’s hope
“Telling relatives these principles is the hope that relatives can show a few more smiles in this world, bring joy and positive information to this world, and let this world feel warmth because we exist.” The opening sentence of paragraph five expresses the author’s hope for us and the original purpose of this article. To study this article and act on the author’s hope is what the author expects of us.
Through these five points, relatives should be able to grasp the article’s thought. I did not follow paragraph order so that relatives could grasp the thread and see what the author is teaching us.
II. Answering a reader’s question
Reader question
Why do other animals on Earth not smile? What species in the universe can smile? Why?
On this question I asked the author through my mentor; below is the answer I organized from the author’s explanation.
As for why other animals on Earth do not smile: other animals are relatively low species. Creating life requires very high technology, and to give a species the ability to smile demands even higher requirements for technology, information, energy, and so on, so this ability cannot be set for lower species. As for what species in the universe can smile: only high-intelligence species have this ability; it is the Creator’s setting for the highest intelligence species, requiring very high technology to achieve. Consider how hard it is to realize all kinds of smiling expressions on these beings’ faces!
One more thing relatives should know: though evil high-intelligence species in the universe also can smile, because their lives have accumulated mostly negative information, their expressions tend to be cold—not as warm and passionate as we righteous beings.
As for why smile was set for high-intelligence species: first, high-intelligence species lead other species; second, the universe needs high-intelligence species to emit more high-frequency positive information.
III. Central idea
“The Power of a Smile,” by clarifying the deep principles about smiles, teaches us to show a few more smiles in this world, bring joy and positive information to this world, and let this world feel warmth because we exist.
IV. Educational significance
“The Power of a Smile” explains very clearly the deep principles contained in something as ordinary as a smile in life. Taking in the true meaning of this article lets us see our own problems and how people in our world live, and see many problems and phenomena in families, workplaces, and society, and thus find ways to resolve them.
Because most relatives on Earth grew up in a negative energy environment, they are used to coldness; many relatives have become cold people, so their lives run in a negative direction without their knowing it—so that in many families and workplaces it is hard to see smiling faces, let alone in elevators, buses, subway cars, or streets. Besides constant interference and sabotage by evil forces, the negative social environment is mainly created by relatives on Earth together: everyone emits negative information and meets coldness with coldness, like spinning a cocoon around themselves, so each person is trapped in a cocoon of negative energy, wrapped tighter and tighter, suffocating and helpless—how tragic a state of existence. Living in such a world, we cannot blame others, society, the nation, or the world, because we created this environment together, and blame solves nothing and only makes our living environment worse.
We must act, beginning with changing ourselves to change this world, so the world can become better and better. The most direct, effective, and simple way is to let our smiles bloom and use our smiles to warm everyone’s hearts and melt this cold world. Do not look down on what seems an ordinary smile—the change from no smile to smile to often smiling is huge, because a person’s facial expression is their spiritual face and reflects their life state. Likewise, the faces of members of a family, workplace, or society show whether that family, workplace, or society is positive or negative. The Creator designed each person’s face so that each person can fully show the face of righteous life to others and this world; in fact each person’s facial expression is their introduction. People of some elevation can easily read a person’s life state from their face. When more and more relatives begin with themselves, bring smiles into their families, workplaces, and communities to touch their relatives and acquaintances, and bring smiles to strangers in elevators, buses, and subway cars, so that everyone who meets us feels the warmth of a smile, our world will change—in fact, as long as we all do this, the world is already changing. Ice three feet thick does not form in one cold day; melting three feet of ice cannot be done in one warm day either. To light a dark world we must shine; to melt this world’s cold we must contribute warmth. That requires passing high-dimensional wisdom to more relatives so more relatives awaken, all learn to live in a positive way, all show smiles from the heart, and contribute positive energy to our world. Only then will our world become more and more beautiful.
Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Nine, “The Power of a Smile,” ends here. Below is a brief summary of this lecture.
Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Second Lecture: Summary
The second lecture explained for relatives Character & Conduct (Pinxing):
Part Five The importance of outer expression
Part Six The laws of human life and survival
Part Seven Our character
Part Eight Our lives
Part Nine The power of a smile
—five parts in all. Below is a brief summary of the main ideas of these five articles.
Part Five, “The Importance of Outer Expression,” teaches us to care about outer expression and let our good outer expression match the noble identity of high-intelligence life.
Part Six, “The Laws of Human Life and Survival,” teaches us what the law of human life and survival is and to live according to the laws of the universe in accord with the program the Creator set.
Part Seven, “Our Character,” teaches us to develop the noble traits we were born with, serve the righteous universe, and manifest the value of life.
Part Eight, “Our Lives,” teaches us that no matter what life we go through we must choose the right path in life and manifest value in the universe.
Part Nine, “The Power of a Smile,” teaches us to show a few more smiles in this world, bring joy and positive information to this world, and let this world feel warmth because we exist.
Speaking truth and principle is common to every article in Character & Conduct (Pinxing). Relatives can summarize from my explanation what truth and principle each article teaches, so that this precious knowledge may melt into their lives; relatives may also summarize for themselves which article focuses mainly on raising inner cultivation, which mainly on outer expression, and how these relate to quality and cultivation—this helps take in the essence of this textbook and guide one’s own change and elevation of conduct.
The second lecture ends here. Thank you, relatives, for watching; see you in the next lecture!
High-Dimensional Wisdom series: Character & Conduct (Pinxing) lectures, third lecture
Lecturer: DF
Hello, relatives!
In the last lecture we studied together through Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Nine. We now begin the third lecture. In the third lecture we study together:
Part Ten Speech and conduct
Part Eleven A bright heart
Part Twelve Bridge of friendship
Part Thirteen Stillness overcomes motion
First we study together Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Ten, “Speech and Conduct.”
Character & Conduct (Pinxing), Part Ten: Speech and Conduct
“Speech and Conduct” is easy to understand; by sorting the main points and summarizing the central idea, relatives should be able to take in what the article expresses. Because this article’s educational significance is great, I will focus on that significance. Below are the article’s main points:
I. Main points of the article
I summarize the main points of this article in three points, as on the screen:
The importance of speech and conduct
How to care about speech and conduct
The author’s hope
- The importance of speech and conduct
A person’s speech and conduct matter greatly; speech and conduct reflect a person’s quality and cultivation. (Paragraph one.)
The first sentence of the article states the importance of speech and conduct. After the general statement, the author discusses separately the importance of speech and of conduct.
First, the discussion of the importance of speech:
- Importance of speech
In paragraphs three, four, and five the author discusses the importance of speech from positive and negative sides.
Positive discussion
As long as our words are positive, are all for others’ benefit, and let others hear with pleasure and gain joy, what we say can bring positive information to those who hear us and also bring positive information to the universe. (Paragraph four.)
Negative discussion
If we usually speak without regard for others’ feelings and even say things that harm others, that harm to others will provide negative information to this space. (Paragraph three.)
- Importance of conduct
Paragraph six also discusses the importance of conduct from positive and negative sides.
Positive discussion
Our conduct can bring beauty and let others feel pleasure; such expression also provides positive information to the universe. (Paragraph six.)
Negative discussion
Vulgar conduct is repulsive and also produces negative information. (Paragraph six.)
After discussing the importance of speech and conduct separately, paragraph seven summarizes:
If we are not aware that every word and every act affects others and even this world, we will not care about these details. Not caring leads to letting go, and gradually to degeneration. (Paragraph seven.)
Paragraph eight goes further:
If we cannot bring positive power to this world, we become degenerate people and base lives. (Paragraph eight.)
How to care about speech and conduct.
How to care about speech
Paragraph five first tells us how to care about speech. From the article’s wording I summarize:
Strengthen awareness of taking speech seriously; care about every sentence we say. (Paragraph five.)
We must care about every sentence we speak; only by giving enough attention can strong awareness arise—without awareness we tend to speak casually.
- How to care about conduct
The sixth paragraph of the article tells us how to attend to conduct:
In ordinary life, attend to every gesture and movement you make, and let each one become graceful. (Sixth paragraph of the article)
After explaining each part separately, the closing of the article says:
To possess a noble standing, you must strengthen yourself—beginning with your speech and conduct and every thought—and carry it through so that what you show brings beauty to this world. (Closing of the article)
This sentence can be read as a summary of how to attend to speech and conduct.
- The author’s hope
The author hopes that we will begin with our speech and conduct and every thought, carry it through so that what we show brings beauty to this world, lead more people onto the right path in life, let everyone display a good image, and thus bring more positive energy to the universe.
The last paragraph of the article expresses the author’s hope and also the purpose of writing this piece.
II. Central idea
The central idea of Speech and Conduct is to teach us how important speech and conduct are to a person, so that we consciously refine them and let what we show bring beauty to this world and provide more positive information to the universe.
III. Educational significance
Speech and Conduct makes plain how important a person’s speech and conduct are. Because every day we display all kinds of speech and conduct, if we do not attend to them or observe them closely, we may not know which words or acts send positive information to the universe and which send negative information.
Speech and conduct are always in play. When we do not yet have such high awareness, we unconsciously display poor speech and conduct and supply negative information to the universe, which obstructs cosmic development. As a life in the universe, although the information each of us gives off has limited effect on the cosmic energy field, when the information from all lives acts on that field together, the force becomes unimaginably great.
Only when everyone has this awareness and knows how great an impact their information can have on the universe will they watch their speech and conduct at all times, correct poor speech and conduct as soon as they notice it, and thus display good speech and conduct and contribute to the universe’s upward development—rather than unconsciously showing poor speech and conduct often. That requires us to reflect on ourselves often; only reflection in detail yields deeper insight and conscious correction of poor speech and conduct. Only then can our quality, cultivation, and level of life rise greatly.
As created lives, our duty and obligation first of all is to keep sending positive information to help the universe develop upward—that is our primary task. If we forget that primary task, we still live in confusion and cannot find the right direction in life. Even if we train powerful abilities to serve the universe, the ultimate aim is still to provide all kinds of positive information and help the universe develop upward; we only supply different kinds of positive information. As a life, one is inherently a source of information; every piece of information one gives off acts on the universe’s energy field and plays a certain role in the cosmos. Only when a life gives off higher-frequency positive information can it show greater value.
The principle is simple, but living it is not easy, because we must be able to observe closely every word and act, including whether everything we do in daily life sends positive information that helps the universe develop—all of which calls for deep reflection and insight and is also the foundation of raising our level of life. If a person’s speech and conduct do not show height or refinement, it means that person’s life level is not very high, because speech and conduct reveal life level.
Precisely because most relatives on Earth do not see how important speech and conduct are, senior administrators in the relevant higher-dimensional departments present systematic guidance in textbook form so that we focus on our details, grasp the meaning deeply, and correct ourselves and raise our life level—so that we Earth people can all become high-wisdom lives and higher-level elite talent and play a greater role in the universe and show greater value.
Part 10 of Character & Conduct, Speech and Conduct, ends here. Next I will explain Part 11 to relatives, The Bright Heart.
Character & Conduct, Part 11: The Bright Heart
The Bright Heart tells us many truths we did not know; grasping them takes a certain foundation in higher-dimensional wisdom. To help relatives understand this article deeply, I will focus on its knowledge points—the truths the author tells us.
From how the article is written I have summarized five relationships. They matter not only for understanding this article but even more for understanding more of the truth of life and the universe. When we understand these truths the author gives us, we see why they were given and grasp the thread of the article. I then summarize the central idea and educational significance as a reference for relatives to grasp the article’s level and role. Here are the knowledge points:
I. Explanation of knowledge points
The relationship between heart and life
The relationship between heart and life information
The relationship between life information and life energy
The relationship between heart and the frequency of life energy
The relationship between human beings and the universe
The Bright Heart tells us many truths. The wording is not hard on the surface, but because it touches cosmic and life truth, relatives without a certain foundation in higher-dimensional wisdom will find it hard to grasp the depth of what it says. I will explain point by point:
- The relationship between heart and life
The article does not focus on the relationship between heart and life, but because the article is about the heart, it is necessary to clarify this issue so that relatives can know more about their own lives.
The heart is a high-tech, high-intelligence product the Creator made; it plays a very important role in the life body. But however important the heart is, it is only one very important part of a life body. The heart rules the vessel; it is not the ruler of life—it is normal for life to rule the heart; it is abnormal for the heart to rule life. Many relatives are ruled by their hearts because they have not returned to the nature of a righteous life, their lives are not running in a positive way, and they do not know how or are unable to master their own hearts. Relatives in this state live in great confusion and do not play the positive role of life; living that way has little value or meaning.
The “heart” spoken of in The Bright Heart is the same high-tech, high-intelligence part the Creator made for us as I described above—it is not the flesh heart of our vessel. I already explained the heart and the life core system when I taught The Human Way; I will not repeat that here.
- The relationship between heart and life information
“The heart is the information source that guides our whole life. Whatever kind of heart we have, that kind of information we produce.” (Second paragraph of the article)
This is from the second paragraph; the second and third paragraphs clearly explain the relationship between heart and one’s own life information. That relationship is fairly easy to understand: our thoughts are information produced by the heart—a bright heart is a positive mindset and produces positive thoughts; a dark heart is a negative mindset and produces negative thoughts.
- The relationship between life information and life energy
The second paragraph of the article tells us:
Whatever kind of information the heart produces, that kind of energy is formed in our life. (Second paragraph of the article)
This sentence describes the truth of life; the principle in it is very deep, and with my ability at present it is hard to explain fully. At this stage we can treat life energy as something that follows from life information—whatever life information we have at the moment, we have that life energy. When positive information leads, we have positive energy in life; when negative information leads, we have negative energy in life—that level of understanding is enough.
- The relationship between heart and the frequency of life energy
The third paragraph of the article tells us:
As one’s own heart grows brighter and brighter, the positive energy of one’s life becomes higher and higher in frequency. (Third paragraph of the article)
This tells us that the brighter (more positive) the heart, the higher the frequency of positive energy in one’s life—that is the truth of life. What is the principle? When a person’s heart grows brighter and brighter, it means that person’s core system is running more and more positively and supplying higher-frequency information to the heart. As I just said, we can treat life energy as following from life information—the higher the frequency of life information, the higher the frequency of life energy. We must understand clearly: without continually storing high-frequency positive information, a person’s heart cannot grow brighter and brighter. We can also put it the other way: when our life core system stores more and more positive, high-frequency information, our own life energy becomes higher in frequency and the heart grows brighter and brighter.
- The relationship between human beings and the universe
When every piece of information that comes from our inner being is positive, we can merge with the positive information of the universe, because our heart is the channel through which we and the universe communicate with each other.
We exist in the universe; our own life energy merges with the universe’s energy.
In the universe, thanks to the cosmic energy field granting all kinds of energy, we can survive normally.
Without the universe’s energy, life could not survive.
These four sentences, from the fourth, fifth, and sixth paragraphs, set out the relationship between human life and the universe. Human life and the lives of all other species were created by creators at different levels according to cosmic law. All life depends on the survival conditions the universe provides. Of course, the Creator created many lives so that they would continually give off information and supply motive force to the universe.
Deeper principle is explained further in Part 12 of Character & Conduct, Bridge of Friendship; the knowledge points end here.
II. The purpose of telling us these truths
To tell relatives these truths is to want relatives, beginning with every thought in the depths of the heart, to correct themselves so that every thought is positive and thus brings beauty to this world. (Fourth paragraph of the article)
The author tells us so many truths in order that we may have and keep a bright heart.
III. Central idea
Through the related truths, The Bright Heart lets us understand how important it is to have a bright heart and teaches us to correct ourselves beginning with every thought so that each thought is positive—thus providing positive information to the universe and adding positive energy.
IV. Educational significance
The Bright Heart tells us the relationship between a person’s heart and life information; between life information and life energy; between heart and the frequency of life energy; between human beings and the universe; and the heart’s important role in life—truths that let us see how important and meaningful a bright heart is. At the same time it teaches us how to keep the heart bright. The root issue of the human world is of course the human issue, and the root of the human issue is the issue of the human heart. From one family to one workplace, to one country and even one world, all problems are caused by people. One can also say that the world’s problems are the sum of each person’s problems, and all problems come from the human heart—so one sees how important the heart is. To change the human heart depends on education that lets people in the world understand basic life truth and cosmic truth—that is, the way to be human. Character & Conduct is a textbook edited to educate family members. This piece, The Bright Heart, is education aimed directly at the human heart.
For us who live in a negative-energy world, this article gives extremely precious teaching. As a senior administrator of our Small Universe family, the author of course knows well what problems the family has and what the root problem is. Writing such a textbook is addressing each person’s root problem and the root problem of our whole Small Universe family.
The heart is the information source that guides our whole life; whatever kind of heart we have, that kind of information we produce. Whatever information is produced, that kind of energy is formed in our life. Whatever information and energy we have in life drives whatever behavior we do. Relatives can also compare the heart to the commander of the vessel—all human behavior comes from the heart’s orders. The heart can issue positive orders so a person does positive things, or negative orders so a person does negative things. What orders the heart issues depends entirely on what information the life itself holds. Yet it is very regrettable that relatives on Earth, never having received orthodox higher-dimensional education, do not know the most basic cosmic and life truths; most do not know how to master their own hearts and let their hearts run wild, so their lives are out of control. That is the root of all disorder and every problem in the world.
Changing the world is a huge project; to finish it everyone must take part, because the objective world has no problems on its own—we each have problems, and that is why the world is full of problems. Only when each of us changes will the world change; there is no other way. Understanding this, we should consciously correct and master our own hearts, and following the article’s teaching, beginning with every thought in the depths of the heart, correct ourselves so that every thought is positive and thus brings beauty to this world. When every thought of every person is positive, every person’s heart is bright; when every heart is bright, this world is a world of light. That is the author’s original intent in teaching us, and it is the direction each of us Earth relatives should strive toward.
That concludes my explanation of The Bright Heart. I have only covered the most important aspects; relatives may use this as a guide when they study the article again. I hope relatives will all grasp its essence.
Part 11 of Character & Conduct, The Bright Heart, ends here. Next I will explain Part 12 to relatives, Bridge of Friendship.
Character & Conduct, Part 12: Bridge of Friendship
Bridge of Friendship is somewhat hard to understand. To help relatives see what it is really about, I will explain why the author chose this theme, then the content of the article, and finally summarize the central idea and educational significance.
I. Explanation of the theme
The theme of Part 12 is “Bridge of Friendship.” Friendship as a bridge is a way of describing the cosmic information field, intended to help us understand what role that field plays.
The relevant higher-dimensional departments convey the textbook Character & Conduct to Earth according to Earth people’s ability to understand. Because the cosmic information field is abstract and hard to grasp, and Earth relatives lack this foundation in higher-dimensional wisdom, this theme was chosen to express cosmic mysteries in a way we can take in.
This article differs in style from others. The author uses how to get along well with people and build friendship to tell us the truth of the information web in the cosmic information field. Bridge of Friendship is a little over 900 characters in six paragraphs; the first four are largely setup—the fifth paragraph is where the cosmic truth of the article is given. I tell relatives this so that when you read the article again you can see why it is structured this way. The Human Way, Character & Conduct, The Way to Live, and Signs in the Sky are all works from the higher-dimensional yin realm; the mentor conveyed them orally, so we cannot study the original text on Earth or appreciate the author’s exact wording, literary skill, logic, and style.
After explaining the theme, I turn to the content of the article.
II. Content of the article
Bridge of Friendship has six paragraphs. The first four discuss the importance of building friendship with every karmic tie and how to build friendship, leading into the importance of giving off positive information. The sixth paragraph is the closing. The first four and the sixth are easy to understand and do not need deep explanation from me; I will only summarize what they say. The fifth paragraph is the core; relatives without a foundation in higher-dimensional wisdom may find it hard to understand, so I will focus on that paragraph.
First, a summary of the first four paragraphs:
The first paragraph says that as lives our ability is limited and we need help from other forces.
The second paragraph states the purpose of the article.
The third paragraph explains how to build friendship with people we have affinity with.
The fourth paragraph explains the meaning of building friendship with others and leads into “this is the mystery of how information interacts,” preparing the ground for the fifth paragraph’s explanation of the cosmic information field.
The fifth paragraph discusses the important role of the cosmic information field—it sets out a great cosmic mystery. The cosmic information field is tied to every one of us; it is cosmic truth everyone should understand. I hope relatives will grasp this truth thoroughly.
First, what is an information field? An information field is the field of interaction formed by all information in the universe acting on one another. The Higher-Dimensional Wisdom series mentions the energy field in many places—what is the relation between energy field and information field? In short, the information field is the cause and the energy field is the effect. In fact, if there were no action of energy in the universe, information would not work either. Whether the most primordial information in the universe is brought forth by what we would call energy—that we cannot yet know with our present ability. For now we need only know that acquired information and energy both operate; they simply play different roles—that simple picture is enough.
After explaining the information field, I will explain two sentences in this passage:
First: When a life gives off positive information, it receives the influence and action of many similar positive pieces in the cosmic information web and benefits from them.
Second: Conversely, when a life gives off negative information, it likewise receives the influence and action of many similar negative pieces in the cosmic information web, producing negative effects.
When relatives understand these two sentences, they also see what their own relation to the cosmic information field is. In fact, this is the relationship between human beings and the universe. This truth matters greatly to us; the two sentences are abstract, so I will use an image to help: the relationship between the information each of us (and other lives) gives off and the cosmic information web is like the relationship between a person and the springs of a trampoline when jumping—the more force you give the net, the stronger the rebound; the less force, the weaker the rebound. The more and higher-frequency information a person gives off, the more that person is continually “exerting force” on the universe, and naturally the information web feeds back more and greater force. The relation between people and the cosmic information field is action and reaction. Moreover, the cosmic information field’s reaction on an individual life is countless times greater than that life’s action on the universe. But when a life’s energy frequency is below that of the cosmic information field, the information the life gives off cannot act on the information field and there is no feedback from the cosmic information field—like a light ball of cotton hitting the trampoline net and getting no rebound. This truth lets us see: only when we give positive information to the universe do we receive the influence and action of many positive pieces in the vast information web of the huge cosmic information field, helping us form more and better karmic ties and stand invincible in the universe.
The vast cosmic information field’s effect on each individual life is hard to imagine; as long as we continually supply positive information to the universe, the vast field will naturally feed back power beyond imagination. The author uses this simple description to help us understand how the “bridge” of the cosmic information field affects each life. I hope that through my explanation relatives can grasp the deep meaning of this passage and know how to use the cosmic information field to raise themselves. The fifth paragraph ends here.
The sixth paragraph states the author’s hope. The content of Bridge of Friendship ends here. Below I summarize the central idea.
III. Central idea
Bridge of Friendship uses how to get along well with people and build friendship to tell us the truth of the information web in the cosmic information field. This truth lets us see that only when we give positive information to the universe do we receive the influence and action of many positive pieces in the vast information web of the huge cosmic information field, helping us form more and better karmic ties and stand invincible in the universe.
IV. Educational significance
Bridge of Friendship tells us what effect the cosmic information field has on each of us. As a life existing in the universe we are very weak; to survive better in the universe and develop further we must draw on the help the vast cosmic information field gives us so we can grow quickly and play a greater role in the universe.
Many relatives, not knowing these truths, do not know how to raise themselves or how to draw on the vast power of the cosmic information field to grow quickly, and so they fall under the influence of negative information fields—especially in lower-dimensional spaces in the universe. For example, on the Earth where we live, a very large negative information field has formed; it has formed various information webs. When we give off negative information, whatever kind it is, we receive the influence and action of many similar negative pieces in the vast negative information field of the universe and become more and more negative—negative-energy people. That is, people who live in a negative-energy field fall easily, because such a living environment has a very bad effect on people. People who live in a purely positive-energy field do not have this problem, because a purely positive field is all positive information; positive information only helps people rise and does not make them fall. Therefore the higher the dimensional world, the harder it is for lives to fall; only lives in lower-dimensional worlds fall, and the lower the dimension, the faster the fall.
Yet for lives in lower-dimensional worlds, rising is difficult—the lower the dimension, the harder—because of limits from their own environment. When we know these truths, we should realize that only by continually giving off positive information ourselves and through the continual influence and action of many positive pieces in the cosmic information web strengthening our own power can we gain the chance to rise and develop.
In fact, relatives who live in a negative-energy field, because of the harsh environment, can also consolidate all their abilities more firmly—because to survive in such a harsh environment one must train stronger ability to resist every outer obstacle. That is the challenge for relatives in lower-dimensional worlds; it favors training the ability to stand up to a harsh environment, and that is a main reason lower-dimensional worlds can train outstanding talent more effectively. We are in a harsh environment, so each of us should treasure this rare training chance, grow faster, become outstanding talent in the universe, and lead more relatives toward higher-dimensional worlds, contributing greater strength to the family and to the righteous universe and showing greater value—that is the educational significance of Bridge of Friendship.
Part 12 of Character & Conduct, Bridge of Friendship, ends here. Next I will explain Part 13 to relatives, Stillness Governs Motion.
Character & Conduct, Part 13: Stillness Governs Motion
Stillness Governs Motion is of great educational significance for us but is not hard to understand. When relatives know what the thesis is, why it is so, and what we should do, you have the core content. Together with my summary of central idea and educational significance, that will help you grasp the essence of the article. First, the core content.
I. Core content
Every article in the textbook Character & Conduct is expository. When relatives grasp each article’s thesis, understand the “why,” and see clearly what to do, you have the core content of each piece.
- What is the thesis?
Whatever the movements and changes in our outer environment—that is, however nature or other lives move and change—we must meet it with our own pure, quiet heart. (Third paragraph of the article)
The first sentence of the third paragraph is the thesis of this article.
- Why meet outer movement and change with a pure, quiet heart?
Only a pure, quiet heart lets us survive in the universe with greater ability and wisdom. (Third paragraph of the article)
If the inner being is not quiet but constantly surging, we cannot calm down and observe anything outside ourselves, and we have no ability to judge correctly everything that happens in the outer world. (Third paragraph of the article)
Only when we calm our own hearts enough to have the wisdom to deal with everything outside ourselves and adapt to this living environment can we be trained better in this environment. (Fourth paragraph of the article)
In the universe, “stillness” has power. Although the power of “movement” seems stronger, when we have enough ability to quiet ourselves to a certain degree, the power of this “stillness” can meet all “movement” in the outer world. (Fifth paragraph of the article)
The above are the main points from the third through sixth paragraphs, explaining why we should meet all outer movement and change with a pure, quiet heart.
- How can we reach the point of meeting all outer movement and change with a pure, quiet heart?
- As high-wisdom lives we are born with the latent power to respond to outer movement and change. It depends on whether in our own training we can activate that latent power and thus live in this world with greater ability and worth. (Fourth paragraph of the article)
These two sentences in the fourth paragraph tell us that each of us is born with latent power to respond to outer movement and change, and we must activate it. They state the truth of life: we are high-wisdom lives the Creator made; at creation we were given many kinds of latent power; as long as we live in accord with the way the Creator set and continually devote ourselves to the universe, we can activate the many powers the Creator gave us. The author does not expand on this here because other articles already have; the focus of this piece is to explain the principle of stillness governing motion.
- Once we understand these truths, we can try and test the fact of “stillness governs motion.” (Fifth paragraph of the article)
This sentence in the fifth paragraph tells us that trying and testing in life is training and testing at the same time.
Through the above summary and brief explanation, I hope relatives can grasp the thread and thought of the article. When we understand these truths and principles, we carry them out in life and train ourselves to meet everything outside with a pure, quiet heart—that is what the author teaches us.
II. Central idea
Stillness Governs Motion tells us that everything in the universe is always in motion and change, lets us understand the principle of stillness governing motion, and teaches us to train the ability “whatever happens outside, to meet it with a pure, quiet heart,” so that we can serve the universe with greater ability.
III. Educational significance
The principle of Stillness Governs Motion is not hard to understand, but the meaning is deep and is precious for us Earth people, because Earth is a dazzling, complicated world. Most people, not knowing life truth and cosmic truth, do not know how to master their own hearts or how to meet all outer movement and change with a pure, quiet heart—and cannot do it. In fact, keeping a pure, quiet heart is not only an ability but also a sign of a person’s quality and cultivation. When a person can keep a pure, quiet heart in any situation, that shows both strong ability to master the heart and quite high quality and cultivation. To become pillar talent, sound psychological quality is indispensable. To train yourself to meet any movement or change with a pure, quiet heart calmly, returning to self-nature is the prerequisite and foundation. Only when we return to self-nature and live in a positive way in everything, keep the heart bright, consciously block outer negative information and clear negative information from life, does the heart grow calmer and calmer and innate latent power can be activated. When we understand more life truth and cosmic truth, we find that Earth is a rare training ground; we can use it fully to train the heart and continually try and test the ability to meet everything outside with a pure, quiet heart. If we can train on Earth to be unshaken by great change and unmoved by disturbance, reaching a state of unmoving suchness, we lay a good foundation for serving in higher-dimensional worlds and gain greater ability to serve the universe. That is why the author wrote Stillness Governs Motion.
Part 13 of Character & Conduct, Stillness Governs Motion, ends here. Below is a brief summary of this lecture.
Third lecture of Character & Conduct: Summary
This third lecture explained for relatives Character & Conduct
Part 10: Speech and Conduct
Part 11: The Bright Heart
Part 12: Bridge of Friendship
Part 13: Stillness Governs Motion
—four articles.
Part 10, Speech and Conduct, teaches us to attend to speech and conduct.
Part 11, The Bright Heart, teaches us always to keep the heart bright.
Part 12, Bridge of Friendship, teaches us to know how to draw on the help of the vast cosmic information field so we can grow quickly.
Part 13, Stillness Governs Motion, teaches us to meet all outer movement and change with a pure, quiet heart.
Besides Part 10, Speech and Conduct, which deals with details of cultivation, Parts 11, 12, and 13 all speak of very deep life truth and cosmic truth. The author tells us more truth from different angles in order to help us broaden our outlook and raise our life level. Having studied this far, relatives likely have some sense of the value and meaning of Character & Conduct. To master this textbook fully you cannot only listen once or read once; you need to think with care and grasp the author’s intent. Through studying this textbook, if relatives can also see why the relevant higher-dimensional departments convey such knowledge to us, and feel the author’s responsibility to the family and selfless great love for us, you have already grasped the gist of this knowledge.
The third lecture of Character & Conduct ends here. Thank you, relatives, for watching; we will meet again in the next lecture.
Higher-Dimensional Wisdom: Character & Conduct lecture series, fourth lecture
Speaker: DF
Hello, relatives!
In the last lecture we studied together through Part 13 of Character & Conduct. We now begin the fourth lecture. In this lecture we will study together:
Part 14: Carry Forward
Part 15: Beautiful Wishes
Part 16: The Practice of Love
Part 17: Banner
First we study Part 14 of Character & Conduct, Carry Forward.
Character & Conduct, Part 14: Carry Forward
When I explained Part 2, Our Spirit, in the first lecture, I mentioned to relatives that both Part 2 and Part 14 of Character & Conduct deal with spirit—but Part 2 focuses on activating the noble spirit we are born with, while Part 14 focuses on carrying forward the family’s noble spirit.
Part 14, Carry Forward, is not hard to understand. But because we lack knowledge of the yin realm and of the family, we have no clear idea what the family’s spirit means. When I sorted out the core content I added some overview of the family where I could, to help relatives know our family. For this article I will briefly explain in three steps—core content on screen, central idea, and educational significance.
I. Core content
I summarize the core content of this article in three points on screen:
What spirits our family has
The importance of family spirit
The importance of carrying forward family spirit
What spirits our family has
Our family has noble spirits such as “selfless dedication, responsibility and bearing, fearing no hardship, and daring to create.”
To give relatives who study Character & Conduct directly a basic idea of our family and its spirit, I will briefly introduce the Small Universe family.
Our Small Universe family currently has people living on 17 physical planets and 4 non-physical planets, with a population of nearly 100 billion. Earth is one of the 17 physical planets, and on Earth we have the yang world where we live and a yin world we cannot see.
How did our Small Universe family come to be? One billion years ago, with the help of cosmic departments, a group of people went to a region of space in the Milky Way to create worlds. Our Small Universe family began when the first group started building a world on the first planet. As population and strength gradually grew, they created new worlds one after another until reaching today’s scale.
The first people who created worlds are the first-generation ancestors of our family. Everyone born after them is their descendant; our lives all carry their life information—they are the elders of our family. Some have already given their lives for the family’s development; some still play a central role in the family’s development. Relatives in higher dimensions habitually call the Small Universe “the family” because our population all descends from the first-generation ancestors. Our people share the same character and spirit; the Earth where we are was begun by our elder ancestors about 180 million years ago, and only about 150 million years ago did they begin to multiply on Earth and create human civilization. Earth is an important base for our Small Universe family to multiply population and train basic ability.
Most people in the Earth world are descendants of the righteous family and inherit its noble spirit as well. For example, the noble spirit of peace-loving, hardworking courage, self-improvement, and inclusive breadth in our Chinese nation is an expression of our Small Universe family’s spirit. Because descendants of our family carry the family’s character and spirit and the traits of our Small Universe family in life—only many relatives have been corroded by Earth’s huge negative-energy field and fallen, and some relatives have reincarnated on Earth for many lifetimes, so our family’s noble character and spirit have been buried. Yet our family’s spirit has not been lost on Earth; at special historical moments, when the noble spirit in the lives of our family’s descendants is activated, tremendous power bursts forth. For example, the Red Army soldiers who crossed 25,000 li through countless hardships were mostly ordinary people, yet the noble spirit they showed is the most precious quality in the life of every member of our family. In war or in peace there are always benchmarks and models who uphold the noble spirit of righteous lives. I ask relatives to recall the heroic deeds of our Chinese nation through history, and together with Part 2 of Character & Conduct, Our Spirit, and this piece Carry Forward, to understand our family’s spirit and see where our spirit comes from.
The importance of family spirit
Precisely because we have always had this spirit, we have received help from every side. That help comes not only from cosmic departments but also from other righteous families. (See first paragraph.)
These spirits of our family have won us help from every side, so we keep moving forward. (See second paragraph.)
Whatever stage of development we are in now, as long as these noble spirits remain, we have hope. (See fourth paragraph.)
These three sentences explain the importance of family spirit.
The importance of carrying forward family spirit
As long as we carry these spirits forward well, we will keep progressing and will never stagnate or even slide backward. (See third paragraph.)
Only by continually carrying forward these noble spirits of our family can we always walk the right path. If we lose these noble spirits, we will fall and may even become destroyers of the universe. (See sixth paragraph.)
The above explains the importance of carrying forward family spirit.
II. Explanation of difficult sentences
Difficult sentence
A person exists in the universe; training ability matters greatly, but without these noble spirits as support, the abilities we train may not serve the righteous world. (Fifth paragraph of the article)
The first sentence of the fifth paragraph reads: “A person exists in the universe; training ability matters greatly, but without these noble spirits as support, the abilities we train may not serve the righteous world.”
How should we understand this? The meaning is very deep and worth making clear so relatives see it:
Part 2 of Character & Conduct, Our Spirit, teaches us that our noble spirits are innate. To give full play to these noble spirits we must first activate them. To activate these innate noble spirits we need a certain amount of love and a certain amount of positive information and energy. Without those as a foundation, the noble spirits in our lives are hard to activate fully. Whether they can be fully activated depends on how great our love and sense of duty are and how strong our sense of mission is. These are the necessary conditions for activating all noble spirits.
This teaching tells us two things clearly: first, everyone in our family was given noble spirits by the Creator; second, a certain amount of love and positive information and energy are needed to activate these spirits.
What deep truth do these two points convey? They tell us that we are originally righteous lives with these noble spirits. A righteous life must be led by positive information and positive energy for its life to run in a positive way. If positive information and energy in a righteous life dwindle or disappear, that life is no longer purely righteous—or not righteous at all. One can say clearly: whether a person has noble spirits marks whether that person is a righteous life.
In fact, the reason the relevant higher-dimensional departments pay a great price to convey this series of higher-dimensional wisdom to Earth is to help relatives on Earth return to the nature of a righteous life, walk the right path in life, raise the frequency of their life energy, and play a greater role in righteous worlds in higher dimensions.
Without the guidance of this knowledge, many relatives would not know they are already serving the evil world or developing toward it. If a righteous life in the end becomes talent for the evil world, that is a great shame both to the righteous family and to the person who goes to the evil world! Relatives who are parents know how hard it is to raise children; how great the sorrow if one family produces an unfilial child! The difficulty of our righteous family in training one person far exceeds raising a child on Earth many times over, because arranging relatives to reincarnate in different worlds for continual training means countless cosmic administrators serve relatives. That is, behind one person’s growth stand countless cosmic administrators. If righteous relatives in the end slide into the evil world, they become enemies of the righteous world. Think what sorrow and shame it is for your own relative to become your enemy!
Having heard this, relatives should understand the article’s sentence: “A person exists in the universe; training ability matters greatly, but without these noble spirits as support, the abilities we train may not serve the righteous world.” The deep meaning is what I have just explained.
III. Central idea
Carry Forward tells us what noble spirits our family has and how important they are, lets us understand how important it is to carry them forward fully, and thus to carry them forward fully and serve the righteous world.
IV. Educational significance
Carry Forward tells us that although our Small Universe family is young and backward, by carrying forward spirits such as fearing no hardship and selfless dedication we have received help from cosmic administration and other righteous families, so the family has kept developing steadily upward and is full of hope.
From the height of the whole Small Universe family, the author tells us these truths so that every family member understands the importance of carrying forward the family’s noble spirits. We must see that only by continually carrying forward these noble spirits can we always walk the right path. If we lose them, we will fall and may even become destroyers of the universe.
The author also points out that a person exists in the universe; training ability matters greatly, but without these noble spirits as support, the abilities we train may not serve the righteous world.
This article holds great principle and has deep educational and guiding significance for us Earth people. For our whole family, without noble spirits such as fearing no hardship and daring to give, we would not receive help on many fronts from cosmic departments and other righteous families. We who live in lower-dimensional worlds, especially in Earth’s yang world, find it hard to grasp how important that help is for the family. But the author is a senior administrator of the family and knows well how important such help is for a young, backward family. Precisely because the author knows, we are told that our family won help from many sides in the universe by carrying forward noble spirits—thus teaching us the importance of carrying forward family spirit.
In fact, the author is also telling us the management idea of the righteous universe: as a family, one must at least have noble spirits to receive help from cosmic administration and other righteous families. For each of us, whatever dimensional world we live in, we must carry these noble spirits forward. They are our family’s root; if we lose them, we will fall and may even become destroyers of the universe. I believe that for the individual, to receive help from others and the family, we likewise must have noble spirits—otherwise, if we lack even the righteous family’s noble spirits, we are not entitled to help from others, the family, or all sides of the universe; that fits the righteous universe’s management idea.
Yet relatives on Earth do not know this truth; the vast majority do not even know there are worlds beyond Earth and live only for themselves—they have no sense of family or of carrying forward family spirit, and do not know they are objects of rescue. For Earth relatives to carry forward the family’s noble spirits, those of us who have already learned this knowledge must pass it to more relatives and let more relatives know cosmic and life truth and return to self-nature. In fact, spirits such as selfless dedication, responsibility and bearing, fearing no hardship, and daring to create are what high-wisdom humanity has in the first place. Activating and fully carrying them forward is our process of walking the human path in the right way.
Part 14 of Character & Conduct, Carry Forward, ends here. Next I will explain Part 15 to relatives, Beautiful Wishes.
Character & Conduct, Part 15: Beautiful Wishes
Beautiful Wishes is a short piece of a little over 800 characters; once you understand two core sentences and sort out the main points, it is not hard. I will explain following the order on screen.
I. Explanation of difficult sentences
This article has two sentences that some relatives find hard to understand. To help relatives grasp its essence, I explain these two sentences first.
First sentence:
Difficult sentence 1
Our wishes will, through the cosmic information field, feed back to our own life corresponding information. Because all the information we give off is archived in our own life, when there is similar information in the universe it will merge with the information we hold. (Second paragraph of the article)
This sentence on screen comes from the second paragraph. How should we understand these two sentences?
In fact Part 12 of Character & Conduct, Bridge of Friendship, already explained the relationship between the information each person gives off and the cosmic information field; treat our wishes as information we give off and you can understand. Our wishes will, through the cosmic information field, feed back corresponding information to our own life. I only need to explain that the information we give off is archived in our life.
The sentence “Because all the information we give off is archived in our own life, when there is similar information in the universe it will merge with the information we hold” explains the previous sentence. That all the information we give off is archived in our own life means that everything we give off is stored in our life. That sentence describes the truth of life and the universe.
After consulting the author, this truth specifically means: when we give off information, the cosmic information field feeds back similar information. The information the cosmic information field feeds back is stored in our life—that is a setting of the Creator. Storing information is done automatically by the life system, a bit like automatic backup on a computer or phone. Whether we give off information consciously or not, as long as we give off information, the cosmic information field feeds back to life and the life system stores it automatically. Relatives must be clear: only after we give information to the universe does the information the cosmic information field feeds back get stored in our life. It is set up this way so lives can use the power of the cosmic information field to rise quickly and better play the positive role of life. “Merge” in the sentence means the action and reaction between life information and the cosmic information field. I ask relatives to connect this knowledge with your own life body and feel why when we give to others or society, especially when many people affirm our giving, the heart feels boundless happiness, and when we do things not in accord with the Way the heart feels guilt—that is the Creator’s setting for our lives. In fact, every piece of information we give off interacts with the universe. When we can quiet down and enter our inner world, we will sense that any subtle change in the heart is information and energy in the universe at work.
Difficult sentence 2
If a beautiful wish is unrealistic, it means we have greedy craving or a psychology of reaching too high; such unrealistic beautiful wishes invisibly produce negative information. (Third paragraph of the article)
This sentence on screen comes from the third paragraph. How should it be read correctly?
In fact for everyone, a wish is an inner beautiful thought one hopes to realize. But everyone’s beautiful wishes may not match reality. I will use examples to explain:
For example, in real life parents all want their children in key primary schools and universities, want them to be top students and get good jobs after graduation. For parents those are of course beautiful wishes, but such wishes may not match reality. Why? Because every child’s foundation is different, time in the universe training and what they have received in training differ, so it is normal for children to differ in intelligence and ability. Parents cannot demand by their own hopes that a child must be such and such. If they do, even a beautiful wish may not be realistic. In the universe, as long as a life continually gives selflessly, gives positive information to the universe, and plays a positive role, it can show its own value—that is the right view of life and values. One cannot demand that everyone have the same ability or play the same role; one world and even the whole universe need lives to play different roles—that helps the universe develop.
Another example: many relatives now vow to live in higher-dimensional worlds but do not want to raise their energy frequency through selfless dedication or train ability in every area. Such wishes, though beautiful, are unrealistic greedy craving and will also produce negative information.
Many examples of unrealistic beautiful wishes could be given. The main reason wishes fail to match reality is not knowing life truth and cosmic truth; I ask relatives to compare this sentence with your own life experience.
II. Main points of the article
I summarize the main points of Beautiful Wishes in three:
The effect wishes produce
The measure of beautiful wishes
Using beautiful wishes to good effect
Effect wishes produce
Our wishes also produce information in the universe; only the size and quality of the information differ. Our wishes will, through the cosmic information field, feed back to our own life corresponding information. (Second paragraph of the article)
The second paragraph explains the effect wishes produce.
The measure of beautiful wishes
Although beautiful wishes can supply positive information to the universe, if a beautiful wish is unrealistic, it means we have greedy craving or a psychology of reaching too high; such unrealistic beautiful wishes invisibly produce negative information. (Third paragraph of the article)
The third paragraph explains holding the right measure of beautiful wishes.
Using beautiful wishes to good effect
Now that we know this truth, we should have beautiful wishes and thus accumulate more positive information to raise the frequency of our life energy. (Last sentence of the second paragraph of the article)
The last sentence of the second paragraph explains using beautiful wishes to good effect. In short: through beautiful wishes we can accumulate positive information and raise the frequency of life energy.
III. Central idea
The central idea of Beautiful Wishes is to let us understand the role of beautiful wishes, know the right measure of beautiful wishes, and through holding beautiful wishes accumulate positive information and raise the frequency of life energy so as to raise ourselves quickly—and use this knowledge to fulfill ourselves and serve the righteous world.
IV. Educational significance
Beautiful Wishes tells us that realistic beautiful wishes not only contribute positive information to the universe but also accumulate more positive information for ourselves and raise the frequency of our life energy, while unrealistic beautiful wishes not only supply negative information to the universe but accumulate negative information for ourselves and produce negative effects in our lives. This teaching lets us see the truth about beautiful wishes and know how to use realistic beautiful wishes to raise ourselves.
On Earth many relatives, not knowing life truth and cosmic truth, hold beautiful wishes that do not match reality. For example, unrealistic beautiful wishes about love, children, work, houses, cars, and so on not only produce negative information but make us accumulate more and more negative information. If that shows up in real life, it can cause social disorder. Some beautiful wishes taken to extremes can even lead to war—there is no lack of examples in Earth’s history. For Earth relatives to know more life truth and cosmic truth, higher-dimensional wisdom must spread so that after relatives know more truth they can seize every chance to raise themselves quickly and fulfill themselves and no longer live in confusion.
Part 15 of Character & Conduct, Beautiful Wishes, ends here. Next I will explain Part 16 to relatives, The Practice of Love.
Character & Conduct, Part 16: The Practice of Love
The Practice of Love explains “love” very thoroughly and lets us see that life is a life of love.
I will explain from four angles—the main points of the article, explanation of difficulties, central idea, and educational significance—to help relatives grasp this article deeply.
Main points of the article
I summarize the main points of The Practice of Love in five. First point:
Interpretation of love
Love
Loving mind
Information of love
Energy of love
Acts of love
The Practice of Love uses the five concepts shown on screen. Besides loving mind and energy of love, the article does not give explicit definitions; love, information of love, and acts of love are defined. I will explain loving mind and energy of love according to the article’s meaning.
Love
Love is the feeling-tone produced by all positive thought. (Third paragraph of the article)
The third paragraph gives the definition of “love”; “feeling-tone” here means feeling. The author immediately stresses that only positive feeling-tone belongs to love. Relatives must be clear on this. The sentence stresses that feeling that is not positive is not love. From the article’s definition and explanation of love, we can see that doting, disorderly love, partiality, pampering, and the like, because they contain selfishness, are not positive feeling-tone and therefore are not love.
Loving mind
Loving mind means the mindset of loving all things—that is, the normal mindset of a righteous high-wisdom life.
Our human life is a life of love the Creator made; the human heart the Creator made is originally a loving mind—this is my explanation of loving mind according to what the article expresses.
Information of love
All positive information can be called information of love. (First paragraph of the article)
This is how the first paragraph describes information of love.
Energy of love
All energy that plays a positive role can be called energy of love.
To make clearer to us the role of positive energy, the author uses “love,” which each of us knows well. This is my explanation of “energy of love” according to the spirit of the article.
Acts of love
Every positive act can be understood as an act of love.
This explanation follows from how the first paragraph is expressed.
None of the five ideas above strays from the positive. By “positive” is meant the direction in which the righteous universe develops and runs—that is, the direction that accords with cosmic law. The root of human love is the positive force of the universe’s combined force field, so human beings and the universe are intimately linked.
Meaning of “Journey of Love”
We use the image of “walking always on the right road” as a metaphor for the “Journey of Love.” (Final paragraph of the article)
This is how the last sentence of “Journey of Love” explains “Journey of Love.” The meaning is very deep; the whole article is about the Journey of Love. When we understand something of cosmic truth and the truth of life, we grasp that our life path is the Journey of Love. At this point in our study we can also describe life this way: life is one Journey of Love given us to embody our own value.
What is the principle of love
The third paragraph says:
Once we understand the definition of love, we must abide by love as a principle and choose the right path in life for ourselves. (Third paragraph)
The principle of love is in essence the positive principle. Only positive modes of operation accord with cosmic law. When we fall short of the principle of love, we have left the right track in life.
Why we must hold to the principle of love
We are beings of love; we came into this world as a “Journey of Love.” (See third paragraph.)
As beings of love, we cannot choose a wrong path in life, for that goes against the original intent of our own life. (See fifth paragraph.)
Since we belong to a species of love and are lives of love, we must walk the right path of “love,” playing a positive role in the universe. (See final paragraph.)
These three sentences state directly why we must hold to the principle of love.
The importance of a loving heart
Once love is lacking, the original positive energy of our life disappears with it, because our life’s original energy works through the information of love. That is: once love is missing from life, the love energy we were born with vanishes. (Sixth paragraph of the article)
This is what the sixth paragraph describes. The fifth and sixth paragraphs both concern the importance of a loving heart; they are the core of the whole piece.
II. Difficult points
The relationship between the information of love and the energy of love
In the third lecture, when explaining the eleventh knowledge point, I explained “the relationship between life information and life energy.” We can think of life energy as something attached to life information: whatever life information dominates at a given moment, that is the life energy you have. When positive information leads, there is positive energy in life; when negative information leads, there is negative energy. The information of love and the energy of love stand in that same relation. When life is led by the information of love, there is the energy of love in life—one can say the information of love leads the energy of love; and the energy of love lets the information of love take effect.
III. Central idea
The central idea of “Journey of Love” is that, after we grasp the true meaning of love, we follow the principle of love, choose the right path of “love” in life, and play a positive role in the universe.
IV. Educational significance
“Journey of Love” shows us that, since we belong to a species of love and are high-wisdom lives of love, we must choose the path of love—the right path in life—and play a positive role in the universe. Having studied this article, each of us should examine ourselves: has our life on Earth been a Journey of Love? And our present state of mind—is it a state of love? If not, we have strayed from the right track and should return at once. Through this kind of advanced education, relatives who have awakened can more easily see through to the essence of the many problems in our Earth world. It is because Earth people do not know the truth of life and the universe that most have not walked the right path; they have become negative people, sending negative information into the universe and, without realizing it, serving the evil world and obstructing the righteous universe.
A life needs the information of love to lead before it can be full of the energy of love and truly a life of love. The same holds for a collective, a nation, a world: they need the information of love to lead before they can be full of the energy of love; then the collective is a loving collective, the nation a loving nation, the world a loving world.
Earth is a base our small-universe family’s elders built at great cost to multiply lives and train basic abilities. The Earth world was meant to be a world of love; today it has become a world of negative energy. Besides constant invasion from the yin evil world, the root cause is that righteous lives no longer have righteousness and love. Though righteousness and love are not wholly buried, on Earth the power of righteousness and love can hardly match evil. More gravely, many relatives do not know where evil’s power comes from, nor how far evil has grown.
Because the relevant administrations in higher dimensions know Earth’s situation, for years they have tried every means to save Earth. Only now, after a major breakthrough in righteous-universe technology, has it become possible to convey a series of advanced, high-dimensional teachings to Earth, to awaken righteous relatives there and put them on the right path and a truly happy life. Leaders in higher dimensions tell us again and again: there is no omnipotent god in the universe. To change ourselves and this world takes systematic education from the righteous universe and every relative returning to the nature of righteousness and love. When all people awaken and recover righteousness and love, the world will naturally become a world of righteousness and love. That is the educational significance of “Journey of Love.”
This concludes Character & Conduct, Part 16, “Journey of Love.” Next we turn to Part 17, “Banner.”
Character & Conduct, Part 17: Banner
“Banner” is easy enough from the title, but without knowing our small-universe family’s situation and its main task at present, it is hard to reach the height and depth the article intends. Through points, central idea, and educational significance, I hope relatives can take in what the article truly means.
First, the article’s main points.
I. Main points
I summarize “Banner” in five points:
Meaning of “banner”
Why people should become a banner
How to become a banner
The situation and causes of banner-poverty in lower-dimensional worlds
The author’s hope
A brief overview follows.
Meaning of “banner”
“Banner” names three levels: the banner of the great righteous-universe family; the banner of our small-universe family; and the individual as a banner. All three are abstract—not national flags or other concrete flags on Earth. Here “banner” means a standard or benchmark.
The banner of the great righteous-universe family
The article opens by telling us:
The great righteous family of the cosmos is itself one great banner. Everything in the righteous family rests on righteousness; only on that basis can each small-universe family draw strength from example. (First paragraph)
The first sentence: the great righteous family is one great banner for all small-universe families. The second: everything in that family rests on righteousness. One can say this banner stands for righteousness—it is the banner of righteousness. Its ideals are harmony, upholding and defending righteousness, the higher helping the lower, the strong helping the weak. Such ideals have united every righteous small-universe family under this great banner and made righteous force the leading force in the great universe.
The banner of the small-universe family
The first paragraph tells us:
Our small-universe family, too, under the influence of the great righteous family, raised its own banner and gave every member of the family a clear direction. (First paragraph)
“Every member” here means all relatives in every world of the family. Our small-universe family is a banner for the people of each world. Every yin world of the family is under the small-universe administration’s governance, because yin relatives can see and know these basic truths. Only relatives in yang worlds, limited by yang vehicles and earlier lack of technology, have had no chance to learn that yin cosmic administrators have always governed the many worlds of the universe, nor that the small-universe family’s departments and higher administrations have long supported and protected relatives on Earth.
Personal banner
A personal banner is the benchmark for each world. Earth’s great figures, for example, are banners for our world. As Higher-Dimensional Wisdom spreads on Earth, more and more such figures will appear—more and more banners. With that guidance, Earth relatives know how to improve themselves, clarify their direction, strive to be examples for the world and leaders for the world, and live with greater value.
Why people should become a banner
“Banner” matters deeply to each of us, because it shows direction and gives strength. (Second paragraph)
When someone becomes an example for others in this world, more people can be led in the right direction. (Fifth paragraph)
To be a banner is an honor for a person, because it expresses greater value. (Fifth paragraph)
These three sentences spell out what it means for a person to be a banner.
How to become a banner
Raising a banner that influences many is not easy: it takes deep moral character and high wisdom and ability. (Third paragraph)
To be a banner in this world we must strive until we are full of positive force and every act is positive. (Third paragraph)
Relatives can start with the smallest banner—in life and work, influence those around you and lead them on the right path. (Sixth paragraph)
These three sentences explain concretely how to become a banner. The article is mainly about why to become a banner and how; from the third paragraph to the end, that is the subject.
Banner-poverty in lower-dimensional worlds: situation and causes
In our small-universe family, some worlds lack such banners. (Fourth paragraph)
Though some worlds have upright, kind people who achieve something and can serve as examples there, they still fall short of being a full banner. (Fourth paragraph)
These two sentences from the fourth paragraph describe banner-poverty in lower-dimensional worlds of our family.
Because those lower-dimensional worlds lack advanced positive knowledge to guide them, relatives cannot find the right direction in life or raise a banner. (Fourth paragraph)
This sentence from the fourth paragraph gives the cause.
The author’s hope
Telling relatives these truths is meant to spur effort—to be the world’s benchmark and this world’s model. Only by constantly striving in that direction can one eventually become a banner in the universe. (Final paragraph)
The last paragraph is the author’s hope for all relatives in the small-universe family: the world’s benchmark, the world’s model, and a banner in the universe—low, middle, and high levels together—and an expectation that family relatives will become outstanding talents in each world, in the small-universe family, and in the great universe.
That covers the main points; next, the central idea.
II. Central idea
“Banner” explains that the righteous great universe is a banner for every small universe; our small-universe family is a banner for the people of its worlds. The author hopes family relatives will strive to improve, become the world’s benchmarks and models and banners in the universe, and play a greater role there.
III. Educational significance
“Banner” shows us that the great righteous family of the universe is one great banner. That great banner unites every righteous small-universe family in the cosmos. Our small-universe family is a banner for all relatives in every world. It binds relatives of every world closely and gives all family relatives direction and strength. Though little is said here about the great righteous family and the small-universe family, we still learn that righteous worlds in the universe share one banner and form one great family.
The article’s emphasis is forming relatives into benchmarks and models at different levels—banners at each tier. It also names banner-poverty in our family’s lower-dimensional worlds and its causes, and expresses hope that leading banners will appear there. It teaches how to become a banner.
The Earth we inhabit is our family’s lowest-dimensional world, and we are in a yang world. Yang people, limited by yang vehicles, cannot see cosmic truth or receive direct leadership and education from advanced yin administrators, so many relatives do not know there are worlds beyond Earth, let alone that Earth belongs to a small-universe family and to the righteous universe. Fortunately, righteous-universe departments broke through the technology barrier and brought the Higher-Dimensional Wisdom series to Earth, so relatives there can learn basic truths of life and the universe.
The article says raising a banner that influences many is not easy: it takes deep moral character and high wisdom and ability. On Earth, to become a banner that leads the world—in character, wisdom, or ability—cannot be done in a few decades. Yet Earth is not short of people with that potential. Those sent from higher-dimensional departments and righteous worlds on great missions bring deep reserves of wisdom and ability. Many relatives simply have not met this knowledge and lack awareness. This knowledge can activate the life information already in their lives; when they awaken, they see the importance of a banner—their mission is to be a banner for Earth, to put this world on course and return it to the great righteous family. That is their mission and the mission of all righteous descendants.
Not everyone can become a banner that leads the world, but every awakened relative can be a small benchmark and model and contribute positive force as far as they are able. The righteous small-universe family needs the great banner of the righteous great universe. Each world under the small universe needs the small-universe banner. Likewise, each righteous nation on Earth needs a great righteous nation as its banner; the people of each righteous nation need their nation as their banner. With a banner’s guidance and strength, all awakened relatives return to their proper place and unite under the righteous banner, moving Earth toward a righteous world. When righteous force leads Earth, there will be no more terror and war; peoples will share peace and live happily.
Of course, a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. What is needed now is wide teaching of systematic righteous-universe knowledge, awakening relatives at every level and bringing them back to the nature of righteous high-wisdom life so they can play its role. “Banner” is profound and weighty for that reason.
This concludes Character & Conduct, Part 17, “Banner.” Below is a brief summary of Lecture Four.
Character & Conduct, Lecture Four: Summary
Lecture Four covered for relatives:
Part 14: Carry Forward
Part 15: Beautiful Wish
Part 16: Journey of Love
Part 17: Banner
Below is a short summary of the themes of these four pieces.
Part 14, “Carry Forward,” is about carrying forward our small-universe family’s noble spirit and serving the righteous world.
Part 15, “Beautiful Wish,” is about holding beautiful wishes to accumulate positive information and raise the frequency of life energy, so we improve quickly, use this knowledge to fulfill ourselves, and serve the righteous world.
Part 16, “Journey of Love,” teaches us to follow the principle of love, choose the path of “love,” and play a positive role in the universe.
Part 17, “Banner,” teaches us to become the world’s benchmarks, the world’s models, and banners in the universe, embodying life’s greatest value there.
These four are not hard to read, but each reaches high and carries deep educational meaning.
That ends Lecture Four of Character & Conduct. Thank you, relatives, for watching—we will see you in the next lecture.
Character & Conduct, Lecture Five: video transcript
Greetings, relatives.
Last lecture we reached Part 17 of Character & Conduct. Now we begin Lecture Five: Parts 18 “Image,” 19 “Rhythm,” 20 “Light of Life,” and 21 “Character.”
First, Part 18, “Image.” The line of thought is clear: tell us the truth first, then, once we see it, care for personal image. In that order I will first sort out the truths the article presents;
second, why image matters and what it does;
third, clarify difficult sentences;
fourth, the central idea;
fifth, educational significance—to help relatives grasp the gist.
I. Truths revealed. Truth one: when the Creator made high-wisdom lives, different information was infused, so each such life has unique original life information—see the third paragraph. Truth two: when a high-wisdom life incarnates in a yang world, it is influenced by the parents’ information and inherits their appearance; the closer its information and energy frequency are to the parents’, the more it resembles them—see the fourth paragraph. Truth three: after a life is formed, it accumulates all kinds of information as it grows, and that information also affects outward appearance—see the fifth paragraph. Truth four: life is a source of emitted information and also a receiver of information—see the seventh paragraph. Truth five: life can absorb information of different levels from the universe, improve step by step, and emit higher-frequency, more valuable information in return—that is part of why life exists in the universe—see the seventh paragraph. These are five truths as I understand them; relatives can use their own background to find in the article truths they did not understand before.
II. Caring for image
Why care about image? First, the more dignified our appearance, the more it helps the universe, because how we show ourselves is also how we transmit information—see the sixth paragraph. Second, any positive information, under the universe’s vast energy field, can produce positive energy, and that energy decisively helps the universe rise—see the eighth paragraph. Third, in the universe, whatever is beautiful emits positive information and thus, under the vast field, positive energy—see the eighth paragraph. These three sentences, directly or indirectly, stress the importance of a dignified appearance.
How can we make our appearance dignified? First, for our outer form to show well and our looks to grow more dignified and more positive, we must accumulate positive information and energy throughout life’s journey—the sixth paragraph states the root path to a dignified appearance. Besides the information the Creator gave and what yang parents pass on, which we cannot control, in later life we can work to accumulate more and more positive information and energy so our looks grow more dignified and positive—in other words, as long as we live in accord with the Way, each person’s appearance can grow more dignified. “Life’s journey” here is not only a few decades or a century on yang Earth but the whole life course in the universe: if we keep pace as the cosmic energy field rises, after the yang vehicle ends we can exist long in the universe as yin life; in yin worlds, influenced by the field and the nature of yin matter, the more and higher-frequency positive information and energy we accumulate, the more dignified the outer show. We must not judge how yin people look by how people age from childhood to old age on Earth. Second, without this truth and this knowledge, relatives will not value their appearance. The eighth paragraph also says that without truth there is no awareness of image, and no effort to accumulate positive information and energy in life.
III. Difficult sentences
The last sentence of the eighth paragraph says: “In the universe, whatever is beautiful emits positive information and thus, under the vast energy field, positive energy.” How should we read “whatever is beautiful emits positive information”? Separate events from things. An event is an occurrence—for example, an Olympic opening is a beautiful event; the positive information comes from people involved or watching because of that beautiful event, not because the event itself “emits” in the active sense. As for beautiful things: a fine sculpture’s message and meaning are also conveyed when viewers see its beauty. The same object may look different to people of different levels; what you think is what you emit. What in the universe emits information directly, and what does so indirectly? Many relatives are vague. Roughly: only life and things with life-force emit directly—animals, plants, heavenly bodies. Animals are easy (we are animals). Plants emit at levels the Creator set, to balance yin and yang in the information field. Bodies like the sun and moon emit information without which Earth life could not survive. Earth, too, emits; all life here benefits. “Display” is different: any display feeds the field indirectly—tools we use, dawn, dusk, rainbows. They have no life of their own and cannot emit directly to the universe; only when a life sees them and reacts does information go out. At my present level this is as far as I can explain “emitting information”; I hope it helps relatives use the idea correctly.
IV. Central idea
“Image” tells us the truths behind why each person’s appearance differs, so we value and show ourselves well and give positive force to the universe.
V. Educational significance
“Image” shows not only why you, I, and others look as we do, but that on life’s journey we can make our appearance more and more dignified by accumulating positive information and energy, and so give positive force to the universe. In the universe, how dignified one looks largely reflects one’s cultivation—the Creator set it up that way for righteous lives: live by that design and the show grows more positive and dignified. Yin lives see truths yang lives cannot, awaken more easily, find benchmarks and see their gap sooner. Knowing this, we see that personal appearance is also a sign of quality and cultivation, so we should care for outer image. Though we age on Earth, that is change in the yang vehicle; if we accumulate enough high-frequency positive information and energy in the yang world, when the vehicle ends and we become yin, we can be young and dignified. The article teaches accumulating positive information and energy across the whole life course—not only one phase. For Earth people the greatest lesson is that dignified appearance rests on constantly accumulating positive information and energy—in essence, living in accord with the Way and being wholly positive. This concludes Character & Conduct, Part 18, “Image.” Next we take Part 19, “Rhythm.”
Part 19, “Rhythm”
“Rhythm” is quite dense. To help relatives follow, I use six steps as on screen:
I. Terminology
High-speed information. This is a key idea in “Rhythm”; without it the article is hard to grasp. High-speed information means information in rapid motion—some we can observe (high-speed rail, spacecraft, etc.) and some we cannot, moving at high speed in the universe.
II. Core content
I summarize the core in four points as on screen. First, what is rhythm? Rhythm is the frequency of the life system—one can say the rate at which the life system runs. It affects how fast the organism reacts. That is how the first paragraph defines rhythm. The life system here includes the Creator’s innate life core system and heart, and the acquired vehicle system; the three together form the life system. So the system’s rate of operation is tied directly to how the core, heart, and vehicle run; their combined match shows up as reaction speed—motor skills (operating, running) and mental work (calculating, designing). The Creator sets different rhythms for different kinds of talent. Second, why raise rhythm? (1) The higher one’s rhythm, the stronger reaction and agility—first paragraph. (2) As life rhythm rises, we produce more value because work becomes more efficient—sixth paragraph. (3) The higher our rhythm, the greater our value in the universe—seventh paragraph. These three show why rhythm matters. Third, how to raise rhythm? To have high rhythm we must take in more high-speed information, because it can raise life rhythm through our own energy field, and we must consciously train so the organism grows more agile—the second paragraph. Raising rhythm takes both more high-speed information and conscious training; in context, righteous lives who want high rhythm must first walk the right path and keep life in positive operation. How to take in more high-speed information I treat under difficult sentences. Fourth, value taking in positive information from the universe. (1) We must know how to live and act to receive positive information and not negative information that betrays a righteous life’s intent—fifth paragraph. (2) Kinds of information in the universe are countless and hard to sort, but basic knowledge lets us see what each kind does in our life—seventh paragraph. (3) We should learn cosmic basics and wisely choose our path and take in more kinds of positive information, contributing more to the righteous universe—ninth paragraph. “Rhythm” gives sound advice: know more cosmic truth, choose the right path wisely, recognize positive information and take it in actively, and so contribute more to the universe.
III. Difficult sentences
The second paragraph says: to have high rhythm we must take in more high-speed information, because it can raise life rhythm through our energy field, and we must consciously train so the organism grows more agile. That is the article’s main teaching; we must understand it to use it. Briefly: first, taking in more high-speed information. The author tells us what to do; that part is easy, but many relatives do not know how. I asked the author specifically. To take in more, think, observe, and ponder information related to high rhythm often; when you have that orientation, you emit high-speed information to the cosmic field, which feeds back many times more of the same kind and stores it in the life system. For example, martial artists think, watch, ponder, and grasp body agility, train hard, and reach agility others cannot—that is high rhythm. The same pattern holds in other fields: athletes, fine cooks, typists—high-speed information builds that way. Mental high rhythm works the same: chess, design, research, command, and so on. Second, “these high-speed informations can raise life rhythm through our energy field” has two layers: (1) high-speed information in the organism becomes high-frequency energy—as said earlier in this lecture, life energy follows life information; high-frequency energy drives the organism to high rhythm. (2) the more high-speed information the core stores, the more apt the guidance to the heart, which orders the vehicle—understand those two layers and you understand the sentence. Third, “at the same time, consciously train so the organism grows more agile.” However much information you take in, without training you will not become a person of high rhythm. To be a strong swimmer, theory alone without water will not teach swimming, let alone excellence. I hope this way of illustrating helps relatives; you can find your own examples.
IV. Reader questions
A reader asks: Higher-Dimensional Wisdom says Earth is a base to multiply lives and train basic abilities—is rhythm a basic ability? Why must basic abilities be trained on Earth?
Basic abilities are what everyone should have: cognition, thinking, survival, learning, work, creation, and so on. Rhythm describes those basics and reflects work efficiency. Why train basics on Earth? Yang and yin worlds differ greatly. One difference: yin and yang life-forms differ completely—yin life’s “body” quality far exceeds the yang vehicle’s. Another: yin matter and objects differ from yang matter; yang matter is mostly fixed and easier to control, while yin matter is light and hard to control compared with yang—the higher the yin world, the less daily need for matter and the fewer projects to train basics. Without enough basic ability, it is hard to function in a yin world; weak people even need help to survive. That is why many yin relatives come down to a yang world like Earth to continue training basics. Knowing this, relatives on Earth should actively train in every area, not stay at the low level of “how much pay, how much work.” Every chance to train on Earth is precious. We should use this life well: raise frequency through selfless giving, seize every chance to improve ability and rhythm, and lay groundwork for serving higher yin worlds.
V. Central idea
“Rhythm” teaches us to learn cosmic basics, choose our path wisely, take in more high-speed information and other kinds of positive information, raise our rhythm, and contribute more to the righteous universe.
VI. Educational significance
“Rhythm” teaches the Way of the universe. If we lack even basic Higher-Dimensional Wisdom, we do not deserve the name of high-wisdom species. We appear in the universe as such a species; we should learn more, widen our life’s horizon, take responsibility and duty with greater wisdom and ability, and match that noble identity. We should not stay in a narrow private space and waste the Creator’s chance to show value in the universe. Rhythm matters greatly; on Earth it may not show as clearly, but yin worlds demand high rhythm. As yang lives we know little of yin and can hardly imagine it; most relatives have no active wish to raise rhythm. This article shows both why rhythm matters and how to raise it, and urges us to know cosmic truth and widen our horizon—it is weighty because Earth people are short-sighted and do not see that this yang life trains basics and prepares ascent to higher worlds, so most stray into chasing fame, gain, and comfort. Knowing cosmic truth, one sees matter as a product of the universe’s combined gravity field, with different levels in different worlds—only one condition for life. Positive high-frequency information and energy are also indispensable, and more important; they are scarce at every level. Making comfort the goal of life is tragic and shows low level; higher worlds do not do that. Seeing our problems, the author, while teaching rhythm, tells us to know more truth and widen our horizon—not live in a narrow space. Only by raising life’s frequency and ability and rhythm as high as possible on Earth do we prepare for high yin worlds; that is an efficient, meaningful life. With basics in place we can function in yin worlds and become the foundation for yin life to rise there. This concludes Character & Conduct, Part 19, “Rhythm.” Next, Part 20, “Light of Life.”
Part 20, “Light of Life”
“Light of Life” introduces this truth of life. It also teaches from the heart. For relatives to take it in deeply, I follow five steps on screen:
I. Main points
I summarize “Light of Life” in seven points as on screen:
First, what is the light of life? It is the light righteous lives naturally show. Any positive-energy life, at any level, has it; it is the mark of a righteous life. I drew this from the first and third paragraphs so relatives can see it as fact of life—yang lives cannot see it and find it abstract; yin lives know it as fact.
Second, meaning of the light of life. In the vast universe it marks righteous lives; the righteous Creator made it so righteous lives could be told apart in the cosmos. The first paragraph states this. It also embodies cosmic law: lives made against law cannot show it; lives made by law but living against it, as negative lives, cannot show it either. In the great universe all display is clear; the light of life shows level and overall ability—easy to govern and in line with righteous-universe ideals.
Third, levels of the light of life. The higher the righteous life, the brighter the light; the lower, the weaker. Without love and righteousness, a righteous life shows no light. The first two sentences of the second paragraph state that the light has levels—that is simply the display of life’s level.
Fourth, how to shine more brightly. As high-wisdom righteous lives, to shine more in the universe we must accumulate more high-frequency positive energy—the fourth paragraph.
Fifth, how to raise life’s level. Only by grasping more cosmic mysteries in this basic knowledge and using them to lead ourselves to greater height and wider view will duty and mission grow strong; then we can correct ourselves seriously, move in the right direction, and clear negative information quickly—then life’s level rises fast. The sixth paragraph’s three sentences chain like this: cosmic truth enables height and horizon; height and horizon enable duty and mission; duty and mission enable correction and clearing—do that and level rises.
Sixth, why spreading cosmic basics matters. (1) Our family can now spread this basics across worlds—a great fortune—fifth paragraph. (2) Cosmic basics are the foundation of improvement; without them, hard to rise—sixth paragraph. (3) This knowledge is a weapon against negative information—seventh paragraph. These three stress the importance of Higher-Dimensional Wisdom; the fifth through seventh paragraphs develop that—these sentences are only highlights for relatives to reflect on.
Seventh, the author’s purpose and hope for us. (1) I present this basic Higher-Dimensional Wisdom in different ways so relatives start from the most basic knowledge to know the universe and life and thus know how to raise life’s level—two sentences in the sixth paragraph. (2) If relatives put this knowledge into practice, they can gradually become true high-wisdom lives, shine in this world and light it, keep creating value in the universe, brighten their light of life, and add force to the universe because they exist—the last paragraph is the author’s hope. After the main points, difficult points.
II. Difficult points
The last paragraph says this knowledge is a weapon against negative information. What does that mean? It is very deep. First, “this knowledge” does not mean only what is in “Light of Life” but the whole series of Higher-Dimensional Wisdom from higher administrations to Earth. Second, what “clear negative information” means: broadly, all negative information in our world and in each life; concretely, false teachings and knowledge, ideas, views, and conduct against cosmic law in our world. Higher-Dimensional Wisdom is systematic education from the positive universe—the orthodox culture of the righteous universe. It is not religion or superstition; it states truth. It leaves no room for false teaching and lawless knowledge, ideas, views, and conduct on Earth—its force is like light dispelling dark: where light appears, dark vanishes. When relatives put it into practice, they clear negative information in themselves; when everyone does, the world’s negative information clears. That is why it is a weapon against negative information.
III. Reader questions
Question one: why can negative-energy lives not shine?
In the universe, whether field or object, when positive energy is high enough, light appears naturally—that is law from the combined force field. The righteous Creator made righteous lives from positive information and energy and settings that help the universe rise; righteous lives living by law shine naturally. Evil creators did not follow law; they made evil lives from negative information and energy and settings that obstruct the universe; such lives living against law cannot shine—that is the root. Also, positive and negative energy differ in the information they carry: positive carries positive information, negative carries negative information, so even high-frequency negative lives cannot show light; the higher the negative frequency, the more sinister the show. In the universe, positive and negative environments, objects, and lives are all plain to see; only yang vehicles hide this from us.
Question two: how does the light of life appear?
It appears naturally in the setting where one lives. When a positive-energy life’s frequency is above the local field’s, it naturally shines; the higher above the field, the brighter. Display depends on the field. Someone at frequency 30, in Earth’s negative field, looks quite bright; in a 30-dimensional field they would not outshine it—like a lamp at night versus day with the sun. Positive lives only fail to outshine fields above their own frequency; whenever the field is lower, they show light—that is, every positive life has the light; it differs by field level. In a field above their frequency they do not outshine it, but they still look nothing like negative lives.
Question three: what color is the light of life?
It is always white light; the higher the positive life’s frequency, the brighter; lower levels are relatively dimmer. At any field level, positive lives show white light—they only fail to outshine a field above their own. Negative lives are the opposite: no light; their show is only sinister, and higher negative frequency looks more sinister.
IV. Central idea
“Light of Life” tells us the truth about the light of life and teaches us to improve, shine more, light this world, and keep creating value for the universe.
V. Educational significance
“Light of Life” shows that the Creator’s righteous lives all stand for light—that is how they are set apart from evil lives, whatever the species. Righteous lives have this display; brightness differs by level and by environment. Shining is the mark of positive energy and helps administrators tell lives apart. When a positive life falls, it cannot shine; as negative, negative information removes the ability to shine. In the universe, any sinister display counts as negative energy; such lives only obstruct the universe’s rise. This truth matters: the light of life is a basic way to know lives. Administrators know whom to help for the good of the great universe. In lower worlds of our family, such as Earth, many relatives do not show the light of life—let alone other species. If so few shine even in such a low field, one sees how low Earth people’s frequency is. That is why righteous administrations work to spread Higher-Dimensional Wisdom: so Earth relatives can learn more truth of life and the universe, change themselves, return to righteous nature, become positive, and show the light of life. Only when relatives awaken and walk the human path can they play a positive role in the universe. This concludes Character & Conduct, Part 20, “Light of Life.” Next, Part 21, “Character.”
Part 21, “Character”
“Character” is the closing piece of Character & Conduct—the book’s summary. It is not hard; I use four steps on screen so relatives can take it in and see what the author intended.
I. Terminology
“Character”—the last article’s theme is “character.” Many relatives are vague on it, so it should be clear: here “character” covers moral character, disposition, quality, integrity, taste, conduct, and the like—in short, moral stature. One can also say a person’s character shows in those aspects; that is enough without splitting hairs.
II. Main points
I summarize “Character” in six points as on screen:
First, why character matters. (1) Character grounds virtue and wisdom; without it, quality is low—first paragraph. (2) With character one walks the right path and plays a positive role in the universe—third paragraph. (3) Character includes moral character, disposition, quality, integrity, taste, conduct—only this whole set of noble traits fits our noble identity—third paragraph. (4) As a high-wisdom species, without character we fail to show the noble qualities the Creator gave us and do not deserve humanity’s dignity—fifth paragraph. (5) The nobler our conduct, the more lives we can lead and the more we help the universe rise—seventh paragraph. These five state why character matters.
Second, why raising character matters. It matters because character is the foundation of being human—second paragraph.
Third, how to raise character? (1) To raise these traits we must correct ourselves in every way, in every word and act, running positively in every detail—third paragraph. (2) Without caring for detail, hard to rise—third paragraph. (3) Start from the base, from the most basic things, change gradually, raise personal presence, show a good image here and touch more people—fourth paragraph. These three state how to raise character.
Fourth, how to create greater value? Anyone who wants to create greater value in the universe must be able to lead more lives, because life is the basis of cosmic development; when those lives contribute more under our lead, our value shows larger. The eighth paragraph explains that; we see that our righteous family measures a life’s value by how many lives it can lead.
Fifth, the premise of seizing opportunity. Everyone has the same opportunity; it depends how we use it—to create more value in as short a time as possible. That needs a premise: know enough cosmic truth and grow fast with its help. The sixth paragraph says the premise is truth and fast growth. We are in a phase when righteous-universe administrations are helping Earth together; whoever learns truth sooner and grows fast seizes the chance and prepares for greater role in higher worlds.
Sixth, the aim of the Character & Conduct textbook. The last two paragraphs of “Character” state the aim of the whole book and sum it up: twenty-one articles teach change and improvement from many sides; the core aim is to train outstanding talent for the universe and help it rise. These six points summarize the article. Next, the central idea.
III. Central idea
“Character” tells us that as righteous lives we are born with many noble traits; if we live by cosmic law, we can awaken and show those traits well, give much positive information to the universe, and help it rise.
IV. Educational significance
As the closing piece, “Character” sums up the book. The author wrote Character & Conduct to help every member of the family raise quality and stature so each relative can deserve the dignity of high-wisdom life. What the article calls “character” is what we usually mean by moral stature—the good or bad of moral character, disposition, quality, integrity, taste, conduct, and so on is the good or bad of a person’s character. Its lesson is the importance of character, of awakening and raising it, and how to raise it; our life aim is to be people of high moral character and noble lives who show a unique presence in the universe and make the Creator and all relatives proud—precious for Earth people. With so much truth and principle, when we act on it, our life’s level rises and we seize the chance to ascend to higher worlds with greater role and value. This concludes Character & Conduct, Part 21, “Character.” Below is a summary of Lecture Five.
Lecture Five summary
Lecture Five covered Parts 18 “Image,” 19 “Rhythm,” 20 “Light of Life,” and 21 “Character.” Part 18 teaches caring for and showing our image well to give positive force to the universe. Part 19 teaches choosing our path wisely, taking in more high-speed information and other positive information, raising rhythm, and contributing more to the righteous universe. Part 20 teaches shining in this world and lighting it. Part 21 teaches valuing and raising character and becoming outstanding talent in the universe. Parts 18–20 tell Earth people many truths they did not know and reach high. Part 21 closes the book, stressing again that as high-wisdom lives we must value and raise character, and that the author compiled Character & Conduct to train outstanding talent for the universe. That ends Lecture Five; below is a closing summary for the Character & Conduct lecture series.
Relatives, after five lectures all twenty-one articles of Character & Conduct have been covered. I hope my explanations help relatives take in the heart of the book and use it as a guide to living, and even more that relatives may, as the author wishes, become people of high moral character and outstanding talent in the universe—that is what higher administrations expect of Earth relatives and what our Higher-Dimensional Wisdom volunteer team meant by this series. The author of Character & Conduct is a senior manager of our small-universe family, who has lived long in the universe and been formed and helped by higher administrations. The book reaches high; studying it teaches much truth of life and the universe and of law. Its guidance saves us detours and lets us grow fast even in a low world. Higher administrations chose it for Earth—a great significance. I hope every relative who studies Higher-Dimensional Wisdom sees that these teachings are how administrations save us and save the Earth we depend on. This lecture had the author’s care and help, so I could grasp the text and intent deeply enough to finish this hard task. I have woven the author’s care for Earth relatives into these notes, in gratitude to the author and to my teacher—without the teacher I would not have the author’s and higher leaders’ teaching nor keep the right tone. Thanks to the core team for help. My level is limited; gaps and a style not to every relative’s taste are inevitable—please forgive and offer feedback. I will also lecture on The Way to Survive and Heavenly Signs; questions for those can be sent through the official site ahead of time so the talks can target them. This ends the Character & Conduct series. Thank you, relatives, for watching—goodbye!
